Julio sighed.
"The king is dead."
Andromeda's eyes went wide, then her eyes shifted towards me. She sighed.
"I'm sorry for your loss"
I slightly tilted my head towards her as if saying 'thank you' I think she understood. She turned back to Julio.
"What's the other problem?"
Julio sighed again. You know all this damn sighing is pissing me off.
"We thought we'd have more time but its going by faster than anticipated... war is coming and her powers are not fully in yet."
Wait what?
"So I was thinking... you know how you started practicing witchy juju magic ever since Poseidon kept you imprisoned up here."
She rolled her eyes "spiritual healing practices." She corrected
"Yeah whatever same thing" she rolled her eyes in annoyance. I slightly smile. "Basically can you find some juju to help her powers develop faster?"
Hold up
"Wait a minute hold up" I but in. "Who said I was ready for war yet. I-I barely have my shit together right now. Some nasty ass demon with some 'smoked for five years and haven't quit yet' lungs, that make him sound like a Brillo pad got stuck in his throat just killed my dad. Which is beyond me cause apparently he is the god of all gods, so how the hell did he even die or is he not actually dead is he just trapped in some slave prison like sad eyes except sad eyes is actually dead, and don't even get me started on my mother..." I could breath, it felt everything was crashing down on me. My dad, sad eyes, my mom.....Oscar. The ground underneath me started to shake, I could hear the waves crashing in anger, and the wind roaring in frustration, but even with all this all I could hear were my thoughts.
I can't breath
I can't breath
"My mom... he- he....has.... my mom."
"Toby!? Toby?!" I hear Oscars voice, I couldn't feel my legs, the ground beneath me seemed to disappear. I was falling. I could feel myself falling. Then it was dark.
Oscar:
"Toby?! Toby?!" I ran and caught her before she hit the floor. The shaking of the mountains and waves stopped their movement. I hit her cheek lightly to wake her up but she wouldn't budge. Come on Toby.
"Why isn't she waking up?" I looked at Julio and the witch lady.
"She's overwhelmed" the lady said "how long has it been since she has found out everything?" She said facing Julio. He shrugged before answering.
"I don't know, I couple of hours. She found out everything this morning." The lady sighed
"She hasn't been given a moment to rest and process everything since this morning and I'm assuming from what I heard her friend has died, she has found out her father is the king of existence, she has powers, demons and a lot of other things are real, the king of death is trying to kill her, her dad who she just met has been imprisoned, and they have her mother."
She shook her head
"The poor thing just needs a minute. Her emotions are bonded with her powers." She looks at Julio. "I see what you mean." Then she faces me. "Come with me, I have a space you can put her in." She motions for me to follow, I pick up Toby and follow her to a space filled with leaves grass and flowers. It was just as pretty as her. I lay her there and then turn towards the lady.
"You will help her right?"
She nods and leaves to go speak with Julio. I turn back to Toby and sigh as I sit next to her. I slowly move some hair from her face.
The shit you have been through in a day is nothing I could even handle in 5 days. I'm a cholo and yeah I may seem tough but man, the way you've been handling this shit makes me look like I ain't shit. I know you will get through this you are more amazing then you know... you can handle anything. For now you just rest, baby. I'll be here when you wake up.
