Chapter 6. Slight inconveniences

Deku's POV

I woke up on the floor. Very confused I sit up and see Kacchan practically in a cocoon of blankets. I guess the quirk really did wear off.
I stretch and smile at the sleeping blonde before quietly tip toeing out of his room to my own. I was shutting Kacchan's door softly so it wouldn't slam, and the moment I turn around Uraraka is there, staring at me like she just won the lottery.

"Uh.. Hey Uraraka.. Um.."

"Kirishima owes me 20 dollars."

"You guys were betting?!"

"Well yeah, I get 20 dollars if you guys stayed together right after the quirk ended, and Kirishima would have gotten 20 dollars if you guys got together later on instead." Uraraka explained this as if everyone knew, which maybe they did?

"I can't believe you guys were betting on us. Or that you were both in agreement we'd get together at some point." I looked at a clock in the hallway to see it was still pretty early, Kacchan and I were excused from school but that didn't explain why Uraraka was walking around this early.

"So why are you up so early?" She asked me as if reading my thoughts, or maybe I was mumbling aloud to myself..

"I was about to ask you the same thing actually, I just happened to wake up out of habit maybe." I usually tried to train before school of possible, if I could get out of bed quick enough.

"Well um.." Uraraka was suddenly blushing and her eyes darted around nervously. "Tsyu wanted me to, um, to help her with her hair before school!" She was obviously lying but I took her word for it.

"Well, all right then. I'm going back to my room now though, so I'll see you later." I wave her off and she looks thankful she won't have to continue the conversation after that.

I get back to my room and change into just a simple outfit that I can lay around in for the day. I had also picked up Iidas notes from yesterday outside my door. I would have to remember to thank him later. I quickly copied them down into my own notebook when I heard knocking at my door. Before I could even get up to see who it was Kacchan opened my door with a bang.

"Kacchan people are still sleeping!" I hurried over to shut the door quietly, he only made a 'tch' in response.

"What's your deal Kacchan? I thought-" I stopped my sentence when the wind got knocked out of me and I was suddenly on the ground.

"Kacchan." I wheezed, trying to catch my breath. "What is the matter with you?" I tried propping myself up with my arms but kacchan layed his foot on my chest.

"I know your shitty head can't keep so much info at once and I'm sure you haven't wrote it down yet, but I still need you to keep around me for energy, you dumbass. Not even for much longer. But nooo Deku has got to run away at any chance he can get." He was looking down at me, in both ways. It made me angry, but also sad.

"I didn't forget kacchan." I shoved his foot off of me and stood up. "I know how the quirk works, and I know you would've been fine if I was just in my room for a bit before you woke up." I glared at him, not really knowing where this was going. Why was he so upset?

"Then why do I feel like I need you by my side? I'm moving fine, I'm not sluggish, but it was just weird without you. I think the quirk was already starting to affect me slightly." He still looked angry but also slightly confused. But it clicked and I smiled.

"Oh Kacchan, did you miss me?" I asked with a smirk playing on my lips.
