Hi, I'm your author Amelie, and I'll be taking you on a ride. This ride will be a roller coaster of events that happen to two girls, both extremely different - but, somehow it makes them exactly the same.

I recommend not getting too attached to any characters.

Bear is a girl born on the ark. The ark is a national space station built before the worlds nuclear atmosphere was believed to be to extreme for people to continue to live there.
For fifteen years of her life, she lived on Mecha Station - the lower class of the section. Mecha Station is an area on the ark where middle class citizens live. Bears mother was Marcus Kane's adopted sister, so she first lived in Alpha Station - where all the rich, Government personnel live. But then she fell in love with a man who was born in Mecha Station, which her parents disowned her for after she married him.
Three years into their marriage, and they give birth to a baby girl who they named Ember. Believing that she was, poetically, a part of the flame that made the ark. She was beautiful, and never once let her parents down.
Then, seven years went by and the Harvey family broke the highest criminal offence on the ark. The birth of a second child.
They named her Bear, in honour of one of Earths most extravagantly, yet terrifying, creatures.
Bears mother was an engineer, specialising in technology re-creation. With the help of a family friend, Abby Griffin, they inserted a chip into the system. The virus spread through the whole ark, making all files state that Bear was a child disowned by her true parents and left in the infirmary.
Chancellor, at that time, allowed the Harvey family to take in the "abandoned" child. Since they were the only ones requesting, and getting signatures from Doctor Griffin - highly suggesting them for the job.

Fourteen years later, on Bears Birthday, her parents were found murdered. When searching around their room for evidence on the Killer, Commander Duke came across a chip and file about Bear... and who she truly belonged to.
The councilmen sentenced Bear to life in the sky box, until her eighteenth birthday; Where she will be floated for the crime of murdering her parents, including being an illegal second child on the ark.

The Cadet that arrested her was one of her best friends: Bellamy Blake.
The councilman that voted against her being floated was: Marcus Kane.

After hurting guards during her arrest, she was sentenced to solitary, with only the clothes on her back, the necklace around her throat, and a small ball in her hand.

Nearing four years of not leaving the four walls of her cell has become an excuse Bear uses to herself... when drivin' a bit mad.

Lovota was a girl from the ground, who lived in Hunters Crew, a clan of highly trained killers - who have been noted to outwit the Mountain Men, with just their spears.
Lovotas Mother, at that time, was one of the best archers in the clan. Which happened to be the weapon little Lovota could master pretty quickly.
During her sixteen years of life, Lovota trained everyday for a war she pretended was about to happen tomorrow. She wanted to live up to the name her parents gave her, because it meant wolf. To the Hunters Crew, the wolf was an animal of high respects. Due to its connection to family, hunting, and protecting.

One day, they got a message that the Mountain Men had taken hostage a village of Grounders - experimenting on them to find a solution in which the mountain men believed they could learn to adapt to the radiation on the ground.
After a couple of hours, the battle between the Hunters Crew, and the Mountain Men had ended. Bearing scars from the bullets that seized through Lovotas skin, she was the only one left in her clan alive. She believed she was a coward, because she did not die a warriors death - instead, she hid from all that happened.
She tried to run, but despair had ridiculed with her mind, making her frail and not as agile and nimble as her mother trained her to be. Instead, she fumbled through what was happening around her.
Soon after, she was taken hostage by the people who had murdered her whole clan without mercy.
Chained up, she was tested on hourly, her days shortening as she blacked out from the pain of them drilling into her bones in search of bone mill to help them find a solution for the radiation that the Mountain Men couldn't adapt to.
The scientists that worked on her found out about her blood after a week of testing her bones.
From then on, till five years later, she would be strapped into a chair that drugged her with enough liquids to stay alive - whilst her blood was squeezed out of her as if she was an orange.
Five years of sleeping in a cage no bigger then that of a suitcase. Every day she was woken up, drugged, and squeezed.
Since she was sixteen she had never seen the sun, or felt the wind on her face. For those five years, the only time she used her voice was to scream out in anguish at the people who hid behind the innocent act.

She prayed for Wanheda, the bringer of death. Hoping that one day, instead of waking up to the bleakness of her cell - she would wake up to the darkness of her own death.
