After last period, the whole gang including Lytton went to the Esplanade across from their school. The sun seemed to be shining bright as the teens walked through the rose gardens. Rochel began to giggle slightly while holding a pink rose. which was the same shade as keezia's cheeks as Lytton held her hand tightly in his own.
The group found a nice spot under a tree by the pond and decided to sit down in a circle. (Totally not a cult.) Jordan the Guy wanted to sit down in a star but the group decides a circle is easier. Keezia lies her head on Lytton's shoulder while he looks down at her in adoration. Jordan the guy rolls Jordan the Guy's eyes. "Love is disgusting" Jordan the guy mumbles. Rochel wacks Jordan the guy and Jordan the Guy groans in response. "It's cute she has found someone." Jordan the guy gives Rochel a weird look. "I still think love is disgusting,"
Tea grabs out a packet of biscuts (ha, someone please get this joke, Year 9, bis-cut, no one? Tanya? Rose? SOMEONE GET MY JOKES!) and placed them in the middle of the circle. Everyone takes one and begins to nibble.
The group sits comfortably in silence for a while. A slight breeze is blowing in the air as the smell of the flowers dances around, filling the teenager's nostrils.
"It's weird to think that the last time we were here we watched a man feed his lover hard boiled eggs and then he chased us while throwing grapes." The group collectively sigh while Sadness looks around confused.
"Why are you guys acting like it was years ago, that was literally four days ago."
"But it feels like an eternity," Yabbi smiles warmly.
"You weren't even there!" Sadness states frustrated.
"I was there in spirit,"
"No, you really weren't." The two glare at each other.
"So...........................................................................................when did my sister join your group?" Lytton questions while looking at Martin.
"When you left her at the park she had no way to get home till you came back. So we waited with her till you came back. Chatted for a while. Bonded over being loners and having no life." Martin begins to explain.
"What? I thought you would just get home by yourself."
"We figured that out eventually." Jordan the Guy mutters.
"How long did you wait?"
"Only till twelve o'clock." Brabra shrugs.
"At night," Martin adds.
"How did I not notice?" Lytton asks bewildered.
"You didn't notice I was gone for a full day? You didn't come looking for me? I thought you loved me! How could you Lytton!"
"I didn't notice you were gone. It's no big deal."
"You forgot about me," Brabra states blankly. Lytton scatches the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Well, I'm sorry sis."
"I suppose it's okay. I forgive you, bro," She replies while ruffling his hair.
"Awwwwww!" The group giggle at the siblings.
"Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Lytton, what do you do for a job?" Jordan the Guy questions with a serious face. Crossing fingers and looking down the bridge of Jordan the Guy's nose.
"Um, I'm 17, I don't have a job yet."
"How are you going to support Keezia when you move into your own house? Or even before then. How do you expect to raise a family-"
