Keezia woke up nice and early. 6 am sharp. Her, Martin, Rochal, Sadness and Jordan the guy are going for a stroll in the Esplanade later this morning. They were going to celebrate Valentine's day together. Keezia was excited. She was planning on falling into some random guys arms and making him fall in love with her.

Keezia got out of bed and exited her room. Stumbling into Yabbi, her step-sister, on the way out.

"Where you going bruh?" Yabbi questioned absurdly.

"I'm gonna chill at the Esplanade with some of the gang. How 'bout you?"

"I'm driving down to Wellington for work."

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Have a good day at work. Drive safely! Bring me back the tea."

"I'll try!" Yabbi shouts as she runs towards the front door. Swinging it open enthusiastically and skipping towards her old beat up burnt orangey-red Mazda Demio.

"Adios, my familie!" Yabbi shouts from her car as she speeds out of the driveway. Way too much under the limit.

Keezia sighs. "Yabbi is so weird. Thank Goodness none of my other friends are that weird..." Keezia nervously laughs at herself before walking towards the kitchen.

Keezia opens the cupboard and takes out the necessary ingredients to make cakes in a pan. She opens the premade packet stuff and mixes in some milk. She pours it into the pan and turns on the stove. "Mmm.....cakes of the pan." Keezia mumbles as the sweet smell of cake in a pan enters her nostrils.

Keezia just knew, deep inside of her, that today was gonna be a good day.

"Keezia! Your friends are here!" Keezia's mother shouts and the girl quickly grabs her purse and runs out of her room. She opens the front door, yells goodbye to her mother and father, and runs to her friend's car waiting in her driveway.

"Sup my bro!" Jordan the guy yells from the driver's seat as Keezia hops into the back seat next to Rochel.

"We are going to meet the rest of the gang at the Esplanade okay?" Martin states from the passenger seat. Keezia nods in reply.

Suddenly, History by One Direction comes on the radio. "Yay!!!" Jordan the guy yells. The group smiles widely as they listen to the familiar beat. "You gotta help me!" Martin begins to sing.

"I'm losing my mind, keep getting the feeling you wanna leave this all behind, thought we were going strong, thought we were holding on, aren't we." Martin sings loudly off tune before Jordan the guy takes over the singing.

"No they don't teach ya, this in school, no my hearts breaking and I don't know what to do. Thought we were going strong, thought we were holding on, aren't we?"

The rest of the group joins in as the chorus starts.

"YOUUUUUUUU AND MEHHHHHH GOT A WHOOOOOLE LOT OF HISTORYYYYYYY! WE GOT BEEE THE GREATEST TEAM, THAT THE WORLDDDDDD HAS EVER SEEEEN, YOUUUUUU AND MEHHHHHH GOT A WHOLE LOT OF HISTORY, SO DON'T LET ME GOOOOOOO, WE COULD MAKE SOME MOOOOORE, WE COULD LIIIIVE FOOOOOOOOOR EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The group giggled at themselves as they drove down the road. Yelling in glee every so often.

Eventually, they made it to the Esplanade, catching sight of Sadness sitting on a bench waiting for them. "Hey, guys." Sadness spoke in a monotone voice as the group scrambled out of the car like eggs.

Soon the group was skipping along the path and keeping an eye out for any particular conquests. "If we get bored of looking for guys I brought the water guns," Martin stated. Everyone's faces soon held a smirk.

"Why should we be looking for guys? Waiting around pathetically to fall into some man's arms when we could instead ruin everyone else's dates!" Jordan the guy shouted in excitement.

Everyone thought this was a good idea, except for Keezia of course. She wanted to fall into someone's arms. To have the love of her life sweep her off her feet. But alas, she didn't want to wander around the Esplanade alone. So reluctantly she agreed. Martin handed out the water guns and the group began to speed walk towards the Rose gardens. Where they knew most of the romantic couples would be.

"Time to crash some dates," Rochel said with a smirk.

The group spotted a young couple, feeding each other hard-boiled eggs. They waited together huddled behind a large rose bush. Out of sight from the two lovers. "You ready?" Martin questioned the group. They all nodded in reply.

"Cock your guns!" Martin whisper-shouted. The group followed Martin's command. "3...2...1...GO!" Martin yelled and the group sprang out of the bush, firing the water guns feverishly.

"AHHHHHH!" The woman screamed and the group of mischevious teenagers laughed.

"Hey! How DARE you ruin our date!" The man yelled, his face full of firey rage. The man got up and began to chase the group out of the gardens and through the park. The group giggled as the man began throwing grapes at the group.

"Split up!" Martin yelled while laughing as she dodged another large grape.

Keezia giggled as she sprinted away from the group. Taking a turn down a twisted road. The man continued to chase her and she cursed under her breath. She had to keep looking behind her to see how far away he was. She turned a corner suddenly and came crashing into a body. They tumbled into the bushes and Keezia cursed her clumsiness. Keezia winced as she felt several branches stab her body.

"Where are you?" The man screamed and Keezia opened her eyes quickly. They had stopped rolling down the hill and she realised that she was now on top of an extremely pretty boy. She recognised him from school. HIs name was Lytton and he was definitely cute. Keezia signalled for him to be quiet as the footsteps of the man began to increase in noise. He raised an eyebrow at the girl on top of him but stayed quiet anyway. Once the man was out of hearing distance the two got up.

"Are you okay?" Lytton questioned. "Why was he chasing you?" The boy glances down at the water gun still clasped in one of Keezia's hands. Keezia laughs sheepishly.

"My friends and I may or may not have crashed his date." Keezia blushes. Lytton laughs.

"And why was he throwing grapes at you?"

"Maybe he's a grape god?" Keezia spoke sarcastically.

Lytton's glorious laugh filled Keezia's ears again. Silence soon surrounded them as Lytton searched Keezia's face. Although he did not know her name or anything about her for that matter, he still found himself attracted to the girl in front of him.

"What's your name?" Lytton whispers softly.

"Keezia, Keezia Gregory."
