"What do you think?"
"It's so... clean?" Amanda then answered in a sort of question-like state. She still did not know what to make of Olympus. It was different, she didn't know if she liked it or if she was just weirded out from it. But it was not New York.
Everyone she has seen in Olympus has been wearing a certain blanket looking clothing, making Amanda seem as if she overdressed for the occasion. She began to bite the little straps of her backpack as she continued to look around, the others seemed to not notice her as she walked past them. She was the odd one out in the crowd, in which she didn't seem to like as much, as most of these people were already Gods and Goddesses.
"Hermes."
The god looked down at the girl as they continued to walk towards the large building at the top of the tower.
"Should I have worn a blanket and some flip-flops?" She then asked the older god as he let out a laugh.
"No, it's completely alright Amanda. You're dressed alright." He then said as they continued to walk in silence.
Olympus was different, it looked ancient but modern, it took Amanda by surprise on how captivating it all looked. Everything was made up of marble and gold along with many fountains with intricate designs. This was probably her dream, something architectural, something unique from modern day society. Every building had its own style, even if most of them looked similar, it each had something to it to represent certain gods.
Her eyes then wandered over to the large marble building, right in front of the pair. Just like all the other buildings, it was made of marble and gold, but something about this building was different, it was more powerful, or she felt more power from this certain building, it scared her to bits. She let out a sigh as she put on her brave face, her hands began to tremble behind her back as she continued to inch closer to the building. With her heart pounding against her chest, she didn't know or understand why she felt this way, but she knew something was coming, something strange, something unusual. But it made her heart feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
She took a glance at Hermes once more as he winked.
"Stay here until these doors open, they're excited to meet you." He then said to her in a small whisper before he began to grow, his height growing to an unimaginable length at rapid speed before he was just as tall as the double doors. To Amanda, she felt like an ant compared to everybody else. Watching as Hermes passed himself through the two large doors and disappeared.
The doors boomed as they closed, making Amanda shake in place due to the collision of the two doors, her dark eyes scanned Olympus once more. Now noticing everything was bigger than she had anticipated. She really was small through this large world and it scared her to bits.
But she didn't have enough time to think, in which the two large doors opened from behind. She blinked before she quickly turned around, walking through the doors as she looked around the room. Twelve thrones, twelve Gods and Goddesses. From her right, she heard a woman muttering to another as she looked over at Amanda.
"She is even cuter in person." Amanda heard, making her gulp in fear.
She began to fidget with the hems of her shirt, even more than she normally did, feeling the string become loose in her grip as she pulled it out. In front of her sat a man, tall as can be, he was in the center of all these Gods and Goddesses, and if she knew her Mythology right, she would've guessed this man was Zeus himself. He seemed more intimidating than all the pictures Amanda has seen of him. King of the Universe, Father of Hercules, the most powerful Olympian god of them all.
If someone told Amanda she would be meeting these Greek Gods, she would've considered them crazy. But here she was, standing right in front of them, smaller than all of them, wanting to run away.
She didn't know why she came to them, maybe it was to do with the fact that they knew more about her Mother than Pepper or her Father. But all she wanted were answers.
"Amanda Urion Xander Stark." Zeus' voice boomed through the throne room, his voice echoed through the silence as it still rang through Amanda's ears. She stood tall as she looked up at him, placing her hands to her sides as she stared at him and only him. "Welcome to Olympus."
