The Character Queen,
She's living the dream,
The one where she never grows up.
But as the old story goes,
And as everyone knows,
Only Peter Pan should never grow up.
She's strong and she's stubborn,
And that's why we love her,
If only she'd learn to grow up.
The child's remaining
While we are all changing,
Because she won't learn to grow up.
She's making us smile,
At least for a while,
Because she refused to grow up.
She's making us cry,
And she doesn't know why
It's because she refused to grow up.
She can't understand
How a woman loves a man,
When her heart blooms and she has grown up.
Sarah feels betrayed,
'Cause her friends have gone away,
But it's because we all have grown up.
The Character Queen
Is lonely, it seems,
Like the one boy who never grew up.
For ever since birth,
She accepted his curse,
And now she will never grow up.
Dear Sarah, I'm sorry
That our ways are parting,
For this girl has just got to grow up.
I'm crying these tears
Because after years,
Miss Wendy has got to grow up.
