"Wow she's pretty" I mumble, while flipping through the magazine.
"Excuse me?"
"Yes" I say turning around.
"Alex is about to leave. Would you like to say goodbye?" the woman asks.
"Uh, sure"
"Alright, follow me"
I'm not sure who this woman is. I mean, I don't recognize her. But then again I only know a couple of the people who work and live here.
"Harper!" Alex smiles and walks over.
"Hi" I mumble.
"You know all the details, right?"
"What details?" I ask.
"Like, where I'm going and stuff"
"No"
"Oh, well I'm going to Tampa, to train for the She Believes Cup"
"Cool"
"I'll be back early March"
"Um, okay" I say nervously.
"Don't worry" Alex says, and puts her hand on my shoulder. "Everything will be fine. You'll actually be coming to some of the games"
"How many are there?"
"Three. The first one is on February 27th, in Pennsylvania"
"Okay"
"Alex, you need to go now" the woman says.
She nods. "Bye Harper, love you"
"Bye" I say, while waving. Did she really just say the L word to me?
"Goodbye Alex" the woman then says.
Alex waves, and grabs her luggage.
"Harper"
"Yes" I reply looking at the woman.
"I don't think I've introduced myself to you yet. I'm Jen"
"Oh, hi Jen" I say and shake her hand.
"Hello" she smiles. "Do you have any plans today?"
"Uh, no I don't actually"
"Great! You will be going to a cafe with Jeri"
"Who's Jeri?"
"Alex's sister"
"Oh, okay. What time?"
"Be ready by 11:45 am"
"Okay"
