Louis x Clem ; if the apocalypse never happened

Is it a crush?

Two Months Later

Clem sat down at the lunch table with her normal group of friends. She sat a little closer to Louis than usual as they had been getting really close.

"Hey clem, come with me to get a drink?" asked louis
"sure!"

As they walked over to the vending machines to get a drink she could feel Louis' tension.

"Lou? Is something wrong?"

"uh no.. it's just.. uh... i was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me?" Louis' cheeks turned a shade of red as he looked down and scratched the back of his neck

Clementine taken aback by this hesitated for a few seconds making Louis' heart drop.

"uh. y-yes, id love to!". The Clementine. The Clementine time who's never had a boyfriend or a first kiss or never really been noticed just got asked out on a date. To say she was ecstatic is an understatement.

Louis with the biggest smile he could muster "Great, yeah super awesome okay, so i'll pick you up at 7 tonight?"

Clem nodded just as the bell rang. And they went to their classes. Violet caught up with clem, they had also gotten very close.

"What was that about Clem?" ask violet with a smirk on her face. She knew exactly what was going on with Clem and Louis, actually everyone did.

"Louis asked me on a date!" Just then Clem stopped in her tracks and started panicking. "Louis asked me on a date. I've never even had a boy talk to me! OH NO! WHAT IF HE TRIES TO KISS ME. I DO-"

"CLEM" said Violet grabbing her shoulders "You will be fine, you've seen plenty of kisses in movies so you'll be okay."

Hearing that made Clem calm down. Her breathing slowed and her shoulders dropped from their tense position. She nodded and hugged and thank violet, and went to class.

••••••• 5 pm••••••••

"So Lee.... i have a date tonight...." She said looking down at her toes. She felt her cheeks heat up and she looked up at Lee.

"With who sweet pea?" He said sort of defensively. His little girl is growing up. His heart dropped when he realized the things she'd be doing soon. Kissing, drugs, sex. His thoughts got cut off when clem answered

"Louis... you met him that one time..." she said sheepishly

"Sure sweet pea but we need to talk first." He said nervously. He wouldn't like this talk. They walked up to Clem's room and sat down on her bed. He cleared his throat and said

"Clem... you're getting to an age where... um.. you'll be noticing boys..." Clem's face heated and she looked directing down into her lap, Lee continued

"I just want you to know.. if you want birth control... or um... condoms... just let me or Carly know... okay?" Lees face heated as well. He never thought he'd have to have another embarrassing talk. First her period talk, then the sex talk.

"Uh thanks Lee, i'm gonna go shower now." She sighed and walked out of her OWN room. That talk was almost as embarrassing as the period talk. She shuddered thinking of it. She turned on the shower and walked in. She grabbed her razor and looked down. She had never shaved there before. She sighed and went to work

6:45

There was a knock at the door. Clem walked down the stairs wearing a pink skater dress and white converse. She had a white scrunchie on her hand and a pink clutch in the other. Once again when she got to the door Lee was there talking to Louis. Louis was wearing a dark pair of jeans and a button up shirt. He cleans up nice.

"Take good care of my daughter. and keep your hands to yourself" Said Lee in a very serious tone. Almost scary. Louis said yes sir and clem hugged Lee goodbye. They walked out to the car. They both got in and out their seatbelts on.

"Wow. you. uh you look stunning!" said Louis with the cheesiest smile on his face.

"Thank you Louis... and please ignore my dad... he's never had a daughter go on a date. i'm so sorry." She said laughing nervously.

"It's no problem. No big deal. I hope you don't mind but i picked a place to eat." he said while smiling. He seemed pretty confident in his choices, and clementine picked up on that.

"No problem!" She said with a huge smile. They spent the entire car ride talking about dumb things and laughing about any and everything.

They arrived at a diner. The diner looked like an old 60's dinner, It was a gorgeous pink color. Louis walked around and opened the door for clem. She got out and louis offered his arm. Clem grabbed it and they walked in together. They chose their seats and ordered their meals.

"So clementine... i've gotten to know you over the past couple of months. You are one of the best people i have ever met. You can always make me laugh or smile even when i'm having the worst day! You laugh at all of my horrible jokes and make me feel like i'm walking on a cloud when i'm with you... So... i was wondering.. have been wondering.... wonder.... will you be my girlfriend?" You could hear the nervousness in his voice as he said those words. His heart felt as if it was going to beat out of his chest.

Clementine was taken aback by his question. She had never been so happy in her entire life. She was so happy she forgot to answer right away, leaving some suspense and louis scared.

"yes, i've been waiting for you to ask." she said giggling. She had never felt this feeling before. She felt like she was going to puke but it was a good feeling this time... not bad.

The rest of the time they joked and giggled about any and everything. When they finally left it was almost 10 pm. Louis walked clem to her doorstep.

"I had a really good time with you tonight Clem."

"Me too louis, i really did, I'd love to do it again sometime." She said giddily.

Louis smiled and then suddenly his facial expression changed. He looked directly into clem's eyes then closed his. He started leaning in. Clem started panicking but then remembered what violet said. She closed her eyes and leaned a bit as well. Their lips collided and they both could swear firework went off around them. It was like time stopped. They pulled away after only a second or two but it felt like enternity. They pulled away and looked at each other. They both were trying to play it cool but their smiles showed through their disguise.
"Goodnight Louis." Said clem with the biggest smile she's ever had.

"Goodnight clem." Said Louis with an equally huge smile.

Clem walked inside and up to her room and hugged her pillow. This is the start of something beautiful.
