Ahahahaha. I have aLL the pOweR. Isn't it great? I know the whole twist thing was pretty out of the blue. Like one moment they're just playing tic tax toe and then they're being kidnapped and probably mentally scarred.

Yay.

Sorry for slow updates by ya girls trying to maintain a good GPA, run XC, and not die👌🏽But thanks for reading and I hope you keep reading.

Adora stumbled to her feet. The room was still draped in darkness, but slivers of light were beginning to pierce through the murky black.
Adora ran toward the place where Catra has disappeared. She reached out for anything to hold on to but her hands grasped nothing but black mist. Adora punched the wall and sank to her knees.

"Adora." Shadow Weaver crooned. "Why are you still here? There is nothing here for you but misery and death."

Adora covered her ears and curled into the fetal position.

"Why don't you come home, Adora. I'm sure Catra will miss you very much." Shadow Weaver appeared behind Adora. She bent down and caressed Adora's shaking head.

"Come home, Adora." Shadow weaver stood and prepared to sink into the shadows.

"Wait!" Adora cried out.

"I'll- I'll go." Adora trembled.

Shadow weavers wicked smile seemed to glow outside her mask.

"Welcome home Adora, we missed you."

Then everything went dark.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When Adora woke up she was back in her cot in the barracks. Adora stumbled out of bed. Her head was feeling weird and her back hurt.

"Catra?" Adora called.

The barracks were empty. Adora looked around and her eyes landed on the chalk picture she and Catra had drawn when they were little. It was scratched out.

Guilt rose in Adora's mind. She should have let Catra come with her. She never should have stolen that skiff. She should never have accepted that badge. She should have tried harder to convince Catra to come the first time they met in battle.

Adora pushed those thoughts to the side. It was fine, they were back together again. And Adora was never going to leave Catra behind again.

Adora walked cautiously to the locker room.  Everything was strangely quiet and it set Adora on edge. Adora thumbed her combination lock. She couldn't remember her code. Closer inspection revealed that she wouldn't need a code. Her locker was cracked open. The lock mechanism inside was completely destroyed. Her locker wouldn't be opening or closing anytime soon. All her belongings were strewn all over her locker. A shirt hung from the metal hooks, and a shoe lay on top of her jacket. The other shoe was gone. Adora rummaged through the mess for a fresh pair of pants. Adora closed the locker door gingerly. She pulled on the pants and peered around the locker room door. No one was in sight. She was becoming uneasy. It was a Tuesday which meant that her squad would be in the weight room. Probably anyway.

Adora checked the weight room. They weren't there. So her squad was probably on a mission. Adora's heart lurched. She had left Glimmer and Bow. She had left all of the rebellion without a protector. That reminded her. WheRe was her sword?

Adora rushed to shadow weavers room. She burst in just in time to see Catra be released from Shadow Weavers magic grip. There was a yelp. Adora craned her head and saw Kylie. Her whole squad must be here.

"Adora." Shadow Weaver said surprised. "How ah nice of you to join us, come, stand with the rest of your team." She motioned. "I was just giving them a briefing of their next mission."

"Shadow Weaver, where's my sword?" Adora demanded.

Shadow weaver looked taken aback. "Adora please stand with the rest of your team."

"Where's my sword."

"Adora do not make me ask again."

Adora grit her teeth, "yes ma'am"

Adora stepped back next to Lonnie. Lonnie shot her a dirty look and tried to trip her. Adora stumbled a bit but managed to stay upright.

"Team dismissed." Shadow weaver hissed. "Lonnie lets have a chat."

As the others filed out Adora floundered around uselessly. She was really beginning to regret this. She had to get Catra and get the hell out of here. Adora skidded out the door.

"Catra!" She yelled.

But her team had disappeared again.

Adora banged her head against the wall. WheRe was your girlfriend when you needed her?  This was not good. She was in the horde voluntarily?! Alone. Can't find her sword or her girlfriend. And she didn't tell Bow or Glimmer where she was going.

Adora slowed her gait and rubbed her arms with her hands. She forgot how cold and lonely it was in the horde. Of course, it wasn't lonely when Catra was around.

"Hey, Adora."

Adora whipped around. Catra hung from the pipes by her legs.

"Oh thank etheria, Catra." Adora breathed. "I've been looking all over for you."

Catra shrugged upside down.

"Listen we gotta get out of here." Adora urged. Catra lowered herself from the pipes slowly.

"What's wrong?" Adora asked.

"Look, Adora. Shadow Weaver was really pissed when she found out about my little "excursions"." Catra scratched the back of her head.

"what does that matter. This whole plan was stupid, just stay with me at Brightmoon." Adora begged.

"it does matter when she can find you from any place on the planet," Catra muttered.

"I'll protect you!" Adora exclaimed.

Catra smiled warily. "That's the problem Adora. I can take care of my self, and I think maybe Shadow weaver sees that now."

"What are you saying." Adora stepped back.

"I love you Adora, but I and Shadow Weaver, we've come to an agreement." Catra reached for Adora's hand. "You could stay with me! We could rebuild this place and make it better." Catra smirked. "Old witch won't know what hit her."

"Catra are you planning on killing Shadow Weaver?" Adora gasped.

"This is war Adora."

"Catra please, remember that dream we had as kids? Where we ran away and lived alone in the woods together? I-We could go run away. We could leave everything and forget about this war." Adora pleaded.

"You couldn't." Catra sneered, "You're too soft. You'd come running back to save all your friends."

"Catra what happened?" Adora asked softly.

"Torture has a way of changing peoples minds." Catra snapped.

"Catra I'm sorry." Adora trembled.

"There won't be anything to be sorry for once old SWs kicks the bucket," Catra replied Acidly.

Catra sniffed the air. "I can smell your buddies from miles away," Catra said dryly. "I love you." Catra placed a soft kiss on Adoras cheek as Glimmer sparkled into existence.

"Bye Adora." She said sadly. Glimmer pulled Adora towards her and they disappeared.

Catra turned smartly on her heel with one goal in mind, end Shadow Weavers life.
