Blossoming in Sinnoh(Pokémon Journey)

Chapter 1: First Day Troubles!

A girl with black hair slept soundly in her red covered bed. The preteen's room had Pokemon stuffies, and posters all around it. As she turned over in her sleep, a Buneary hopped into her room. The brown, bunny Pokemon made a large jump, and landed on the girl's stomach.

"Oof!!" She gasped for air, now fully awake. She looked at the Buneary, her grey eyes blazing with rage. "Bun-ear-y!" She growled and launched herself at the Pokemon. Buneary hopped away, and the girl started chasing her all around the room, and making a racket.

"Cayla V. Lorian don't you dare touch that pokemon!"She heard her mother yell.

"But Mom-"

"No buts, get down here and eat!" Buneary started laughing and hopped out of the room, leaving Cayla frowning in anger.

"Dang Pokemon..." She pouted and pulled off her red pajama top off and started looking for her clothes.

When she was dressed she looked herself over in the mirror. Her black hair was brushed down, and ended right above her bum. She was wearing her usual clothes; a green dress with blue rims, a black vest that had a orange hood attached to it, and a pair of blue, fingerless gloves. The only thing different with her ourfit was that she had a pink belt wrapped around her waist. Cayla then grabbed a pair of pink, knee high socks and slipped them on before hurrying down the stairs.

When she reached the kitchen her stomach growled loudly. "Do we have a Ursaring in the house?" Cayla turned around at the sound of her mothers voice. Like Cayla, her mother, Destany, had black hair, but it ended at her shoulders.

"Ha Ha very funny." Cayla stuck her tongue out. "By the way, Bunearys evil!" The preteen huffed as she washed her hands.

"Oh come on Cay, she isn't evil." Destany rolled her eyes and set out some eggs, bacon, oranges, and juice.

"Is so!" Cay sat at the table and started eating.

Destany joined her daughter at the table and started to eat as well. "Call me straight after you get your Pokemon." She ordered as the finished.

"Yeah yeah I know." Cayla smiled as she started to washing her dishes.

She then grabbed her bag, which had been packed the night before. The bag was simple, it was blue with a single green strap and a orange star to separate a pocket. "I'm leaving now!" She called as she put on her black sneakers.

"Okay dear, Have fun." Destany yelled after her daughter.

As Cayla walked down the road to Sandgem Town she started talking to herself. "What Pokémon would make the best partner?" She hummed. "A water type would be beautiful, but fire types are so passionate and grass types are so pure and elegant...." She smiled to herself.

"Piplup use Bubble Beam!" She imagined herself with a Piplup. "Turtwig Razor Leaf!" She imagined next. "Chimchar use Flame Thrower!"

She opened her eyes. "Ah it's so hard to decide!" She exclaimed. Soon she arrived at Professor Rowan's Laboratory. "Hello?" she knocked.

"Yes?" A man asked, he looked distraught.

"I'm Cayla, I'm here for my Pokémon." Cay smiled and showed him her postcard.

"Oh yes well..." He avoided her eyes.

"Is something wrong?" Cayla's smile vanished.

"Well the Pokémon escaped." He explained.

"What?!" She exclaimed.

"Someone went to look-"

"I'll help too!" Cay ran off into the forest.

As she ran around the forest she saw a girl trying to get a Piplup out of a web. "She has that handled." She muttered and continued her search. As she looked around she felt something smash into her head.

"Ow!" She gasped in pain. She looked at the ground, and saw a apple. Bending down, she picked it up and looked up to the trees.

"Char!" A voice made her look up. A chimp like Pokémon laughed and turned around, shaking his behind mockingly.

"That hurt!" Cayla yelled and jumped into the tree after him.

Chimchar tried to jump, but Cayla grabbed him and they both fell to the ground. Cayla and Chimchar were both covered in dirt. Cay looked at the fire type, and started laughing, Chimchar soon joined in.

"Lets go back to the lab," She breathed and held out her hand for Chimchar to climb up.

"Chim?" Chimchar tilted his head, but smiled. "Char!" He jumped onto her shoulder.

Cay stood up and started walking back to the lab. When they reached the lab, Chimchar jumped down and grabbed her hand with his paw.

"What's wrong?" Cay tilted her head.

"Nothings wrong." Professor Rowan said as he walked out of his laboratory. "Chimchar likes you, and doesn't want you to leave."

"Is that right?" The girl asked and looked at the fire type.

"Chimchar!" He jumped back onto her shoulder.

"Then it's settled!" Cayla pulled out a poffin and gave it to him. "I choose Chimchar!"

""Then you'll be needing these." He handed her six PokeBalls and a orange PokeDex.

"Thank you." Cay placed her PokeBalls on her belt, and placed the PokeDex in her bag. "Ready to go Chimchar?"

"Oh I'm so glad Chimchar was found!" A voice caused Cay to turn around. A girl with very dark blue hair, and blue eyes stood by them. In the girl's arms was a Piplup. "I'm Dawn."

"I'm Cayla." Cayla smiled. "I want to be a top coordinator."

"Me Too!" Dawn smiled.

Cayla looked at her watch. "Sorry to cut this short, but I have to get going to Jubilife City." She dipped her head and ran towards the Pokémon Center.
