All the boys did well a their individual auditions and made it through to the next stage - known as 'Boot Camp'.
However, the competition in the boys' category was fierce and none of them was selected to move on Judges' House until guest judge Nicole Scherzinger half-jokingly suggested they perform together, which would allow them to qualify for the groups category.
They had only minutes to decide their future and choose a band name they would stuck with.
