A/N: SOOOO I'm FINALLY getting this posted. I am so so sorry for taking so damn long but Frostyface2345 , here's your oneshot!

Quick synopsis:

In this, you, the *male* reader are centerstage. Asami and her forevergirl, Korra, discuss you in a way that, while bittersweet, remains decidedly powerful. Read on to find out what that is. It'll be pretty evident once you read like, the first few paragraphs.

"You have indeed felt a great loss. But love is a form of energy, and it swirls all around us. The Air Nomads' love for you has not left this world. It is still inside of your heart, and is reborn in the form of new love."

"That's what he said?"

An elderly woman, proud, dignified and strong nodded, as a single tear streamed down her cheek.

"Yes, dear. That's exactly what he said."

A young woman, equally, proud, similarly dignified and alike in strength, worked up a smile. "Wow. So this Guru Pathik, he knew Avatar Aang?"

"He knew him quite well, Korra."

Pink petals spiralled all around three people, all gathered together in a semi-circle, facing a small black obelisk. The tallest of the three, head bent lower, clasped a thin brown cord. A blue pendant dangled between her fingertips, blood red and gleaming. Its sapphire edges sparkled in the oncoming twilight. So too, did a silent tear stream down her face, emerald eyes clouded as ebony hair blew back in a gentle breeze. Tranquility washed over the graveyard, as Asami Sato mourned.

"Aang would have loved him, Asami." The older woman stepped forward, placing a hand on the younger, taller woman's shoulder. "He was a good friend to you."

"Its a shame..." Asami's voice caught, then steadied as she replied. "That you all never got to know him." She turned to face each of the other women in her company, four clear, aquamarine eyes curled at the edges as two soft smiles formed. "Katara...he was such a powerful waterbender."

"I'm sure he was." Katara's smiled broadened. "And I don't have a doubt in my mind that, somewhere out there, he's still with us."

"Yeah." Korra broke in. "You told me, once, something else that Guru said. That people we love never really leave us. Asami, you know how much I love you."

Katara smiled, stepping back to give the two younger women some space. "Korra-"

"Tell me all about him." Korra's hand interlocked in her girlfriend's. "I want to know everything."

"Okay." No more tears fell from Asami's eyes that night, as she began to tell a tale of a life cut short, a true friend, and one of the strongest people she ever knew.

Like images in one's mind as they read over the pages of a captivating novel, or the silver screened mirages of a mover, her story unfurled in colour, and Korra became instantly swept up in listening to Asami talk, so full of passion. She didn't even notice Katara slip quietly away, up the hill that let out of the cemetery, back to the heart of the city she helped build.

"Go!"

"Okay, but you know your father isn't going to like-" He laughed. "Oh, forget it!"

She couldn't speak anymore as the young man in her company struck the water beneath them with a powerful blast. The boat launched forward, and so did the young woman once seated gracefully on its bow. Laughing as her hair billowed backward, she clutched the side of the vessel. The young man bending the boat forward smiled and laughed just the same.
