Hindi mapakali si Orvyn sa kinauupuan. She was grasping the seatbelt tightly, feeling the presence of the guy she never thought would be beside her.

Her chest felt hollow. Halo-halo ang nararamdaman at iniisip niya.

She still can't believe it was all happening. She was afraid everything was just her imagination and only a product of her utter hope. That escalated quickly.

The scenes in the coffee shop kept repeating on her mind: the look on his face, everything he said, the stares. She still can't believe it. It didn't seem real. She wasn't expecting everything to happen. She wasn't expecting Desmond to be like that. She wasn't expecting them to be like that.

Mababaliw na ata siya.

If it was the universe's gift for her, she was willing to do anything to thank it.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

She still made an effort to hide it away. "I'm fine," she replied.

Orvyn couldn't find the words to tell him even after everything. She didn't know where to start.

Who would've thought a silent girl like her could do things like that?

Who would've thought a girl could do the first move?

Her brother would be amazed once he knows and it was only a matter of time until Owen and Desmond meet. The thought made her feel giddy.

It was not like there were in a relationship. She believed they were still in a state of shock and confusion. Who wouldn't be? After two years of hiding, the day finally came.

Orvyn thought she hadn't prepared enough for that day.

Ni hindi siya nag-ayos nang maayos. She bet she looked terrible and her hair was probably even messier.

Inviting him to her birthday party was the only thing she could think of. She didn't even expect he would agree on going.

"Do you need time to think? Because I do," he said, looking at her once again.

She looked at him. "I think I need it too," she said.

"How many hours till your party?"

Tiningnan niya ang relo niya. "Two, more or less."

"Are you alright spending it with me, then?"

"Do you really need to ask that?"

"Just making sure," he replied. "I don't want to force you with things you don't want to do."

She giggled upon hearing that. "Seryoso? It's not like we'll do terrible things, right?"
