Desmond didn't know how to hug and it was very evident the moment Orvyn hugged him.

Naestatwa siya roon at hindi alam kung anong gagawin sa mga kamay niya. He wasn't a hugger. He didn't even know where to put his hands.

She was resting her head against his chest and he knew she could probably hear the loud beating of his heart.

That night, he learned new things about Orvyn and about himself.

Orvyn liked dogs.

Orvyn preferred coffee with cream.

Orvyn was a great hugger.

Orvyn was ten times more adorable when she gets embarassed.

And he liked hugs even with all the awkwardness.

Malapit nang magsimulang lumiwanag nang matapos ang party. Iyon na rin ang hudyat na dapat na siyang umalis.

After spending hours talking with her and drinking a little alcohol, the moment was finally coming to an end.

Nakasandal ang babae sa balikat niya habang nakaupo sila sa upper bunk ng bunk bed. They didn't say anything but they knew it was coming to an end. Babalik na uli sila sa kani-kanilang mga buhay.

She was drawing circles on his palms when he heard her let out a sigh. "Thank you for coming here with me. I truly appreciate it. Thank you for trusting Gimcrack with me. Thank you, truly," she said softly.

Desmond couldn't help but smile as he played with her untangled hair. "Thank you for being brave. Mas matapang ka sa 'kin and I admire you more because of that. You are a wonderful person, Orvyn."

"Well, you're sublime," she said.

"You're transcendently stunning."

"You're a perfectly blended coffee."

"You're the smell of earth after the rain."

Tumawa ito nang mahina. "Is that a compliment?"

Desmond nodded. "Yes, because I love that scent."

Napangiti ito sa naging sagot niya bago tumango-tango.

They stayed there for a little while before the both of them decided to call it a day.

"What happens next?" asked Orvyn softly.

Napalingon siya sa babaeng nakayuko at pinagmamasdan ang paglalakad nilang dalawa.

Desmond blinked a couple of times before shrugging. "Who knows?"

"Promise me you won't ignore me like you used to do."

Napasimangot siya nang marinig ito. "I wasn't ignoring you. I was just careful."

"Take it in my shoe."

He subconsciously pouted. "But I really wasn't ignoring you."

"Ni hindi mo 'ko tinitingnan."

Napailing-iling siya sa sinabi nito. If she only knew how often he stared at her when she wasn't looking. If she only knew how long he had been liking her.

"You were just oblivious. Hindi mo lang alam," aniya.

"Hindi ko alam ang alin?"

How you can easily make me feel insane just like that.

Nag-iwas ng tingin si Desmond bago nagkibit-balikat. Naramdaman niya ang panginginit ng mukha. He nibbled his lip before shrugging once more.

"Desmond."
