The moment Orvyn saw Owen coming back to the house carrying a familiar box, she immediately knew that something was not right. In fact, she knew what that something was.

It was evident that he was avoiding her eyes.

It was Gimcrack. At that very moment, the beating of her heart doubled. But who was she kidding?

"Where is he?" she asked Owen, looking back at him. Tiningnan lamang siya nito at hindi nagsalita.

She knew what the answer was, but her emotions got the better off her.

She ran towards the door, and ran towards the gate, her eyes searching for Desmond's car, but it was no longer there.

Of course.

He'd drop by without saying hi.

She bit her lip to stop herself from crying.

She was clutching the hem of her shirt as she fought back the tears.

Breathe, Orvyn, breathe.

"Hinga, Vyn." She didn't bother wiping them off her face. She just allowed herself to feel even when she didn't even know what emotion she should focus on. There were a lot of things that were running on her mind that she couldn't even grasp.

He was saying something but she wasn't in the right state to listen. Her mind was too clouded. Her chest felt too tight, and she felt as if she was enclosed in a tight space once again.

She thought that she couldn't calm down knowing the thing that she was afraid to happen was finally happening, and she couldn't even stop it from doing so.

"Orvyn, honey, listen to me…" The voices in her head were much louder, and they were all too familiar. The thing was, no matter how many times she'd hear the voices, she still couldn't get used to them. She'd still get hurt.

"I-I want to s-see...see him," she choked on her words.

"No." "No," pag-uulit ng kuya niya.

Even when she hadn't asked it yet, she already knew what Owen's answer would be.

She also knew that her brother said no not because she didn't want her to see Desmond again, but it was the thing they needed to do. They needed to give each other some space. And even when she did understand why they needed to do that, it still hurt. It still hurt facing the truth.

She didn't even get to say her goodbye.

She would wake up from time to time, waking Lyso up who was sleeping soundly near her bed every single time, and her gaze would immediately drop at the sight of Gimcrack's box. She would remember everything that had happened again, and feel everything again.
