Oliver's PoV

. . .

The fight between that random man and the weird lady had subsided, but I was still curious. As soon as the bodyguard came back, I scooted back to my seat and pretended to be busy with my phone.

"I know you saw all of that", the bulky man said after rolling his eyes.

I grinned at him. "Care to share?"

"No."

"Oh come on!", I replied, while slowly putting my arm around his broad shoulders. He looked at me with a bored look. "I'm not asking you to tell me everything. Just the juicy gossip", I winked.

Even though he had a resting face on, I knew he was amused. "Fine. But you will shut up after this conversation, or consider yourself dead."

I nodded and pretended to zip my mouth. Unimpressed, the man continued.

"Some dude was harassing my client."

I waited for him to continue.

"Apparently he started by questioning her ability to be in business class, and then he started verbally abusing her."

"Her?", I asked.

"Yeah, the one I guard."

"What's her name?"

He looked at me with a scowl. "Why do you need to know that?"

"I met her in the airport lobby. So, yeah", I trailed off.

"She's Maya Lukwozski."

Suddenly, I remembered the name card that had fallen off her purse. I pulled it out from my back pocket and showed it to him. "Is this her?", I pointed at the name printed on the card.

"Yes. Did she give this to you?", he asked, after raising an eyebrow.

"No, it fell down from her purse maybe", I shrugged.

"Okay."

"So, who is she? Is she a big hotshot or something?"

He looked at me and sighed. "You're not gonna shut up, isn't it?"

I grinned. "If you were a girl, I would have said make me, but since you're not, continue with the story."

He mumbled something in some foreign language, probably dutch, and continued.

"Well, she's Mr. Lukwozski's side chick. So she has a lot of power."

"Like Mia Wallace?"

"No kid, Maya isn't his wife."

I was surprised he actually got the reference. "Oh okay. Who's this Lukwozski then?"

"The infamous land mafia", he smirked.

Mafia? Why hadn't I heard his name then? Maybe he had a codename or something. Like Lynch. Oh shit, I forgot about the reason I was on this trip.

"Wow. Interesting", I replied.

"Very", he said while leaning back on his seat.

Sensing that the conversation was over, I leaned back as well. Within minutes, there was an announcement.

'Crew please prepare for landing.'

Soon, seatbelt sign was on and the air hostess came to check. I winked at her as she passed by, watching her blush. From the window, I could see the beautiful city of Amsterdam, with its canals meandering through the city. Colourful houses, tiny boats, greenery all around. I could get used to this.
