I mean, you guys obviously know these rules but just to clarify:
1: Absolutely NO SMUT. Kissing and hugging is fine but please keep that to a minimum. This isn't only about having lovey dovey stuff.
2: Your responses should be CLEAR. They should consist of at least 3 sentences (or less if you are able to get your concise point across).
3: Stick to your characters' personality and forms. If your character is described as "cold and nasty", I don't want to see something out of character. This is very annoying.
4: The characters cannot be overpowering. This makes the rp boring and it's very irritating. For example, if you think your character is so cool, it doesn't mean they HAVE to win every fight (of course only if it's a fair fight).
5: Don't control other people's characters. ONLY YOUR OWN CHARACTER. For example, instead of He grabbed her hand and lead her to the yard write: He grabbed her hand TO lead her to the yard. This gives the other roleplayer some control over their character as to whether they want the girl to be lead to the yard by the dude. (Weird example but yeah).
6: ONE ACTION PER REPLY. If you make your replies too long with too much context, it gives zero room for the other roleplayer to fit in any actions their characters are to do. For example of what NOT to do: She dodged the sword and thrust her's into his armour, and in enough time for him to not react, she kicked him and towered over him, taking off her fencing helmet. "I told you not to challenge me," she said and proceeded to walk out the room. See how this just didn't give the other person a chance to do anything because this person left no room for them?
7: Correct spelling and grammar at ALL TIMES.
8: We love feelings, so please incorporate FEELINGS and EMOTIONS into your responses. No character should be too staunch that they have no emotions and don't make your character so out of human emotion that it just gets annoying.
9: All major events are to be happening within story updates, so don't make any up whenever you feel like it. For example, don't randomly include a murder mystery in the middle of a chapter where it's just about classes. If it hasn't been originally planned (because this is a private roleplay, it is possible for us to plan things together of course) then don't create something out of nowhere.
10: Please interact with more than one person and don't make it the usual characters who are socialising.
11: Your life comes before this roleplay. You are NOT allowed to roleplay here if you have something coming up and roleplaying becomes a form of procrastination. So no roleplaying before exams.
12: Go at your own pace. You are not obliged to reply straight away.
13: Remember that this amazing story idea was not created by me so I don't receive any credit. This is entirely for fun.
14: Stick to the rules. Failure to adhere to the rules will result in me DELETING YOUR RESPONSE.
15: Any talk outside the roleplay must be enclosed with brackets (){}[].
16: Since this is a private roleplay for CERTAIN people, if you are not part of this group of people just get off please what are you doing here?
17: You may use swear words, however there are limits. Do not make it a regular thing and use it in necessary situations such as when the character is angry, shocked etc; it must be somehow censored; ONLY allowed to be used in character DIALOGUE and in nothing else.
16: Have fun. If you are not having fun, what are you doing with your life?
