Chapter 12 - The Ball

Rose P.O.V

"Where are we going?" I asked for like the tenth time.

"You'll see" He said back.

"Fine don't tell me."

"Fine I won't."

"Erg" I still can't believe he picked me up in a limo. He must be rich. Well I guess I can't really say that because our whole school is rich. So only rich people can get in. it's not really fare to the other people in the world. I wish I went to a normal school. The rest of the ride was silent besides the faint music. I have never ridden in a lime. This is so cool but still awkward.

We finally rode up to a.... ah palace?

"This is the Vu manner."

"I heard about this place. They throw these awesome balls each year. And you can only go to it if you get a special invitation. OMG did you get invited to it?"

"Yup, and I bought you as my date."

"I should have gotten dressed up a little more. Now I'm going to feel so underdresses compared to everyone else."

"You look fine to me."

"To you but probably not to everyone else."

"Oh please."

"I feel like I'm intruding."

"But you're not intruding your my date. And a hot one too."

"Please stop calling me pretty and all the other things it's weird."

"The only reason I got invited to this thing is because they have a daughter that goes to our school. She is in love with our band." Figures. "And she needs to figure out that I don't like her, I like

"Too far, I'm not ready for that. Oh yeah, what was her name again?"

"Alexis I'm pretty sure." This is awesome. I'm so pumped. This is one huge house. We knocked on the door and their butler opened it up. Wow they have a butler. Shut up, of course they have a butler their fucking rich. Harsh. He led us to this big open area. Which I am guessing is the ball room, hence the people dancing. I looked perfect and so did he. But hopefully no one is wearing the same dress as me. I would be devastated. I didn't see anyone else from the band. Which is weird because I thought that Alexis was in love with the band. Wait a minute maybe Alexis only gave Luke an invite because she is in love with him. Ohh the struggles. Did he bring me here just to get her off his back? I am not happy. Just act like you are happy. You are at a very exclusive party don't mess this up. Fine.

I'm starving; good thing there is a table of food by the wall. And the drinks are being served around the room.

"I am going to go get some food."

"Okay, do you want me to come with you?"

"No, I will be fine on my own. I think." I whispered the last part to myself so he wouldn't hear me. And I walked away to the food.

"So many good cho...." I didn't get to finish because somebody tapped on my shoulder. So I turned around to find Alexis giving me dagger eyes.

"Hi, I'm Rose Valentine and you must be Alexis Vu."

"I know who you are." Stalker much.

"Okay" now I'm confused "Great party you've got. You have a beautiful house." I tried to change the subject but it didn't seem to do much.

"Thank you. Now I want you to leave." She got some major mood swings.

"W-Why?"

"Because you are running my chances with Luke. He is mine not yours." Now I know why I never talked to her at school. She is a bitch.

"Excuse me"

"You heard me. Leave"

"Why should I leave? He brought me as his date."

"He wasn't supposed to bring a date. I was going to be his date."

"Then why did he ask me instead." She is pissing me off.

"Maybe he felt bad for you."

"Oh, no you didn't sa..." I was cut off yet again but this time it was from Luke.

"What is going on here?" He said.

"You were invited here so you could be with me. I don't care about your band. I want you." Wow she is creepy.

"Creep" he said. The truth has been spoken.

"I am not......" is all she said before I punched her in the face. Let's just say she really pissed me off. We were escorted out of the party and with no limo to take us home. This night was ruined. I didn't even get to dance!
