13. Engagement (Part ll)

Jaz's Pov

I was so nervous. That's all i had to say. Im walking into huge hall right now. I cant get my mind off of how many people will be here right now, as i fiddle with my sari from a side, Ruby and Jamal behind me while Jai is right by my side. 

"Calm down sis! It's not like your going to trip and fall!" Ruby said nudging my shoulder.That just made it worse. How many people are there again? nearly 500 right. oh no no no no. Why did we ave to have so many people come? why? I groaned internyly. Not really in the mood for all of this.

"you never know!" Jamal said in a jokingy way. While Jai chuckled and looked down at me. "It's okay i went through this. well i sat on the chair but anyways." He said taking a deep breath. "Just look into Jay's eyes and you'll be fine. I promise, and if not jay's eyes and look at the spot you'll sit in alright?" I just nodded my head. Maybe looking into his eyes wont be so bad. Ya know? I mean his eyes are amazing. I shook my head at the thought. What am I thinking?

That's when I heard the music in the hall die down as we approached the door, the dj saying that I was here. I could just tell verybody in the place was buzzing with curosity on how I looked like now. I moved my perfectly curled hair to a side and all four of us checked our outfits to see them perfectly fine.

As the door's open Jai wrapped his arm around my shoulders and Ruby squeezed my left arm slightly in reassurance. We all started walking towards the stage, Jay had gotten up and wow. He looked amazing. His hair was in a perfect quiff, while his eyes just brightened up the room even more. He looked so professional, like a bussiness man. Well he is one. As Jai took is arm off of my shoulder's and Jay took my hand and led me to the little sofa they had. I started to hear hushed whispers and a loud,lomg wolf whistle which made me go crimson red.

I didn't really look at Jay but i could feel his gaze on my face. I bite my lip and looked over at the Dj station. Wow. With the light's it looked stunning. They were all neon and cool. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt someone tug on my hand, looking down i saw raj. Wow he looked so cute. I smiled at him, right when i was about to pick him up my mom stopped. "Hold up hold up rasam first."

I made a face but nodded I watched as they gathered the things around me and Jay, watching what they did. I snuck a glance at Jay and saw him doing the same thing, but he didn't look to happy. His jaw was locked and his eyes weren't the same bright green. I wonder why he's all mad about this. I quickly looked away as i saw his head turn towards me, I felt heat rise to my cheeks, I gulped hoping he didn't see me stareing at him.

Ruby came over and tugged Jay away.I was about to get up until Arjan came over and pushed me back down onto the chair and sat in Jay's spot. He grinned at me. "heeyy bhabbeee." He wiggled his eyerows while saying that, causing me to roll my eyes playfully. "What are you doing here?" I smiled.

 "Shouldnt you be watching your brother's Kurmai?". He just shook his head. "I have to give my bhabe company duhhh." He said smiling. I shook my head at him and watched them to the Kurmai to Jay. He just seemed bored and uninterested. I signed sadly, what happened to him? He was all happy earlier he even kissed my cheek!

They had finished doing the kurmai and know it was the chunni cermony. They had my sit where Jay was previously sitting, Jay was still in a mood, no one asked him about it. I just shrugged it off for now...Right now im just watching what they're doing. Jay's mother is putting a gold set around my neck that coldness of it is sending chills down my back, while his sister's are putting hair clip in my hair, in a beautiful bun might I add. Right when Riya, Jay's cousin sister was done with the bun, Auntie came over and slipped the chunni onto my head, I looked up at her and smiled. I noticed tears in her eyes. They weren't sad tears, I can tell. She leaned down and gave my forehead a kiss. I smiled softly and watched as Uncle came over and feed my dried date. Let me tell you i hate dates. I made a sour face which everyone laughed at. To make everything worse the photographer took a picture! Aunty and Uncle gave some money and set it in my lap i smiled softly but sadly. I have to leave my family now... signing. I got up as my Ruby came over and took the chunni off and folded it neatly. I put everything in the silver tray and walked back over to the spot I was sitting at before.
