Making his way to the familiar house which was owned by Okara, Bardock had already set his mind in motion. He was going to get to the bottom of this, and he wasn't going to stand around and watch someone who he was close to suffer. Okara will tell him everything or else he was going to make her. Stopping in front of her house with his bag still over his shoulder, Bardock was quick to speak. "Okara! I know you are there!"

There was silence from the house, and he stood there with a serious expression. His eyes shifted to look at the door as it opened, and Okara's face was peeking through looking at him. "Please just leave."

Bardock's left eye brow twitched, "Like hell I'm going to leave."

Okara sounded so defeated, and he could tell that she wasn't feeling well. Earlier today he even could tell that she seemed to be on edge. Was she getting enough rest? Was she eating? Of course he would think these things.

"I just want to be left alone."

Just the tone of her voice made him frown in displeasure. "Why." He didn't even ask, that was how fed up he was with her attitude.

Okara moved to close the door and gasped audibly as Bardock's free hand suddenly moved as he kept her from closing it, his grip on the door was firm and hard as well. "Okara don't you dare try getting away this time today. You are going to tell me what is wrong."

Bardock's serious expression changed as he heard her voice change to a murmur, and he even heard what appears to be sobbing. This made him feel bad, just why on earth was she crying? Okara was never ever the type to cry or show weakness and hearing her sob affected him more than any other force in the world. "Okara please talk to me..."

Okara finally gave up, as she let go of the door which allowed Bardock to open it fully. He didn't stop there though, the moment the door was fully open did he take a hold of her with his free hand while dropping the bag that was slung over his shoulder. Pulling her into a firm yet secure embrace, he repeated what he said. "Please just talk to me..."

The beating of her heart was incredibly strong now, and Bardock's arms were secure around her form. Okara placed her forehead against his chest, as she tried to contain herself which didn't help at all for more sobs escaped her. "I-I can't..."

Bardock's grip became stronger, his eyes were serious as he stared ahead with his head over hers. "Why?"

"If I do, then you may stop wanting to be near me..."

Bardock glared, for her to say such things felt like he was being stabbed by a sword. Why would she ever think that he wouldn't want to be near her? "Okara that is ridiculous!"

Okara moved a bit to look up at him, her eyes were pained the moment that he looked at her now. "It is true..."

Bardock's glare remained on his face, just seeing that painful look in her eyes just made his heart burn. "Stop. I would never think or do as you say! You have always been there to support me and damn it I'm going to do the same thing! Why can't you believe me!"

Okara looked at him in surprise, before closing her eyes as she lowered her head. "I do but..."

"But what!?!"

His voice was so upset and frustrated, the feeling of his hands were firmly tightly on her shoulders as he looked down at her. "Okara! I want to help you and how can I if you don't let me!?!"

Okara looked up at him as tears fell from both of her eyes, and she weakly spoke out. "Y-You can't help me..."

Bardock's expression became serious, the same kind of serious when he was in a life and death situation. "Like hell I can't!"

Okara's face changed to one of pure surprise as Bardock pulled her into another hug, his grip on her was suffocatingly tight as his eyes were closed tightly. "What ever is the matter with you I want to help! I want to be there for you like you have always been there for me!"

His words were so genuine and kind at this moment, she could feel the determination behind his words which made her heart ache more. "I-I..."

The talk with Fasha played out through her mind at this moment.

~ Earlier with the talk with Fasha ~

"Just tell him, you never know he may just feel the same way about you?", smirked Fasha.

"I can't tell him! If I do he may come to not like me anymore as a friend!", spoke Okara who was very paranoid and upset about it.

Fasha placed her hands on her hips as she snickered, "Well if that happens then it happens! Right now though you need to be honest with yourself! Males are so hard to understand, but I know for sure that Bardock is missing you. Badly!"

"Is he?", asked Okara.

"Oh yeah! Talking with the crew doesn't seem to interest him anymore and it could be because you aren't around! Hell as we talked he was standing away from us, staring off into space!"

Fasha wagged her finger playfully, "And when I said I would be coming to talk to you, he really wants to know about you! Not having you around is killing him!"

Okara blushed a bit as Fasha smirked as she walked away while waving her hand at her from over her shoulder, "I'll keep your secret but just a warning, he ain't going to like this!"

~ End Flashback ~

"...like you." She said it, she finally said it and after saying it did her heart sink. Okara felt weak in the legs, as she waited for him to speak.

"...", hearing her say that made Bardock's eyes expand in his surprise. "What?", he said this to clarify.

"I like you more as a friend...", repeated Okara with her eyes closed. She was afraid to look at him, for she was worried that she would be rejected.

Bardock was silent before closing his eyes and smirking a bit. "Oh yeah, that all?"

Okara blinked and opened her eyes as she looked at him, "Huh?"

Bardock's expression was rather peaceful, and though it was dark outside there was a faint blush upon his facial features. "I thought something was wrong with you, that or you hated me. But the reason you stayed away was cause of that?"

Okara glared a bit, "Just being near you hurts!" Her eyes went faintly wide as he slowly leaned in close to place a kiss on her cheek. "..!"

Bardock smirked, "I'm not going to deny your feelings. So please be honest with me from now on, okay?"

Okara's face was still surprised before looking down, her eyes slowly looked up at him as his hands softly moved her head to look up at him again. Bardock's smirk remained as he said, "I'm sorry your heart hurts around me, I guess we will have to fix that later?"

Okara smiled a little as she nodded, and her eyes slowly closed as his lips pressed against hers.

Okara pulled away as she looked at him smiling a bit more, and he smiled a bit back. "I really missed you..."

Just him saying that, made tears begin to form under her eyes and he of course wiped them away.

~ To be continued ~
