A/N heyyyy i'm back, i'm sorry about the chapter name, i couldn't think of one so yeah D: if someone could help me with a name that would be freaking amazing and i will love you forever <3

~Alaine's P.O.V~

 "Lillian Give it back!", I screamed down the street as she took off with my iPhone. She was running down the street with it laughing manically, pretty sure all the pedestrians thought she was insane. Talen, our best friend since Prep was hot on her heels, for once he's on my side and isn't joining Lilli in her usual teasing.

(A/N Just so you know prep, in my country of Australia, is the year before grade one i don't know about the rest of the world)

"Lilli give back Alaine's phone you little brat", Talen yelled after her as he finally caught her by the back of her shirt.

In the motion being pulled back Lillian dropped my phone and I watched in horror as It plummeted to the sidewalk and smashed to a million pieces. I stood their in disbelief, I had saved up all Christmas holidays for that damn phone.

"Lilli what did you do?!", Talen and I screamed in unison.

"I didn't do anything! You", she screamed back pointing at Talen, "Made me drop it when you pulled on my shirt!"

"Well if you hadn't of taken it in the first place this wouldn't have happened Lillian", I exclaimed throwing my hands in the air and then bending down to pick up the shattered iPhone.

"And I forgive you Lillian, its just I spent so long saving up for it and now its broken", I calmly explained to her pulling her and Talen in for a hug.

"Come on we better head back its getting dark", Talen said ushering us to turn back.

We all started to walk back and instead of the usual route we took a short cut. Walking down the path there was a sudden pair of footsteps behind us, Talen ad Lillian being the carefree souls they were didn't acknowledge them but I on the other hand, the worrier of the group, couldn't stop my mind form running through the possibilities and scenarios that those footsteps could bring. But nothing my Paranoid thoughts thought up could have prepared me for what was to happen.

I tapped both Talen's and Lillian's shoulders and quietly whispered for them to walk faster because I was getting paranoid again. They ignored my request and told me that I was being ridiculous.

After a while the footsteps got quicker in pace and I started freaking out more, "Okay guys the footsteps are getting quicker lets go!" I whisper shouted at them.

Talen then swung around and grabbed my shoulders and sternly said, "Okay Alaine You need to take a deep breathe and calm your shit, this is a public neighbourhood so no one is going to hurt us and nothing bad is going to happen so calm down okay."

I let my head drop in shame but he then cupped my chin in his hand and forced me to look him in the eye, "Everything's fine, lets just keep going we're almost to Lillian's house", he dropped the hand cupping my chin and turned round.

I shook my head to get rid of the haziness lingering in my thoughts, what was that? I shook off the new feeling and began to follow them but I didn't even get two steps before a rag was shoved over my face, I kicked and thrashed but it was no use. I heard Talen and Lillian also struggling but didn't have time to figure out what was happening properly before I felt a sharp prick in the side of my neck and I slowly slipped into unconsciousness.

Hey I'm sorry took so long, I just had so many assignments and exams to do but I'm now on holidays and I should be updating more and I'm really sorry this chapter is so short its just sort of an entry into the story, I promise I will try to make the next chapters longer and I hope you enjoyed it, also don't forget to leave any suggestions or your opinion on the story in the comments haha okay byeeee :3
