(Bella's name is now changed to Darla)

It's been almost a whole year. Ponyboy's parents had died in an automobile accident and Darry had custody over Soda and Ponyboy (Darla still hasn't been "found" by authorities)

It was a month before Darla's 15th birthday and it was movie night. Her, Ponyboy, and Johnny were gonna go meet Dallas  in front of a bar. When they reached Dallas, he was standing by a streetlight, lighting a cigarete. "What's goin on, Dal?" said Johnny. "Sup." said Ponyboy. "Hey Dally." said Darla as she hugged Dallas from the back. "Hey Honeybear." Dallas replied.
"We're early." Dallas told the three of them. "What do you wanna do?" Ponyboy asked. Dallas smirked "Nothin' legal, man. Let's get outta here."

The four started to walk. They walked to a car shop where the owner Bill was standing by one of the cars. "How you doin' Bill." asked Ponyboy. "Sharp." Bill replied.

Then, a couple of guys got into a fight. Darla, Dallas, Johnny, and Ponyboy started to watch, then the guy in the light brown jacket took out a blade. The other guys backed up. Sounds of sirens started to wail. "Oh shit, the fuzz." said Darla.

They then left to the DX station, where Sodapop and Steve were working. "Hey, Soda. Here come the hobos." said Steve as the four walked up the them. "Hey Sodapop." Ponyboy greeted his brother. "Hey, I ain't got no cash." said Steve. Dallas carelessly picked up a windshield wiper. "Hey, anyone wanna buy a windshield wiper?" he said waving it in his hand. "Come on, Dally!" Steve protested, grabbing at the windshield wiper. "Give em the money." Soda told Steve. "*cough* liar!" Darla said as Steve grabbed his cash and handed Dallas a twenty.

The four left the DX station waving to Soda and Steve. As they were walking, Johnny asked as he smoked a cigg "So, what's the movie about?"
Dallas put his arm around Johnny and pretended to punch him. "Ow, Dallas. Huh?"
"I don't know, Johhny. It's one of those beach movies, you know."

When they got to a field, they found a couple of kids, smoking and playing cards. "Hey, did I say you could play on my grass?" Dallas teased. "No." the boys answered. "What are you doin' here? Give me those cards, will you?"

The boys grabbed the cards and handed them to Dallas. "You guys ever play '52 pickup'?"
"Yeah." the boys say in unison. "What? Hey don't get wise. I don't like little kids. I just don't like em, I just-" Dallas shrugged then spat the cards out from his hand all over the boys playing area. "GET OUTTA HERE OR I'LL KILL YOU!!!" Dallas yelled as the kids quickly got up and ran on their tails. All four of them charged at the boys. "Get outta here you little brats!" Pony teased.

When they stopped, Dallas said out of breath "The sky's getting dark lets go."
"Let's go, man." Johnny agreed.

They started to head to the drive-in and entered a gap in the gate. Johnny and Pony helped Darla through the hole. They started to walk through a couple rows of seats then sat down. Darla sat between Pony and Johnny.

A couple of girls sat in the row in front of them. One with long red hair, the other with short brown hair. "Are you sure you wanna do this?" asked the brunette."
"-I came here to see a movie and I'm gonna see a movie." the red head replied.

"I'l freezing, man." said Ponyboy. "Why didn't you bring a coat, stupid?" Dallas asked as he was lighting a smoke. "I forgot"
Darla clapped loudly once, rubbed her hands together rapidly, then rubbed her hands up and down on Pony's shoulders. ""Does that help?"
"A little, thanks." Pony replied. "Some cute redhead, huh?" Dallas said, nudging Ponyboy. "Dal, not again." Darla said. She knew how pushy he was around girls, even socs.

He then got close to her and said into her ear "Are you a real redhead?" the girl looked mildly annoyed.
"Come on, Dal." Johnny said.
"Are you real?" Dally pushed. He then attempted to put his feet on her chair, but fell over. Everybody laughed, even the two girls up in front.
Dallas got up like it was no big deal and went back to bothering the red head. "How can I find out if this is your real red hair?"
"-Cut it out, Dal." Johnny said again.
"-If this is the same red hair you have on those eyebrows too."
