The Curtis Family and the Accused

Bella woke up the next morning to a pair of eyes staring at her. "Mornin, Sleeping Beauty."
Bella's eyes fixed themselves and she noticed that she was looking at Sodapop.  Bella sat up, yawned, and stretched her arms.

She looked around as her eyes were clearing. "Mornin'," said Johnny. "H-hi." Bella replied, confused. "Where am I again?" she asked herself.

Then two adults came up to her. "Hi Sweety," said the woman. These must've been the people that she heard come in late last night.  "Hi?" said Bella confused. "You a new friend to Soda, Ponyboy, and Darry?" asked the man. 

Bella thought to herself and remembered everything that happened last night. "Oh! yes, I am." Bella replied. 

"Yeah, her parents-" Darry started
"-Are in Texas visiting her sick grandfather!" Ponyboy interrupted.
"Yeah!" Sodapop agreed.

Darry shot them a what-do-you-think-you're-doing look, but it passed their parents. "Why didn't they take you along? Don't you have any relatives to go to?" asked the man. "Yes, I do have relatives. But, my family all died from the plaque. That's what my grand-pappy has now. my parents won't let me see him because they don't want me to get sick and die as well.,"

"Don't you have anyone to go to?" asked the man."
"No. My parents aren't very social people. My dad works at home with a notebook on his desk, writing articles for the newspaper and my mom stays at home to cook in clean. And I don't have any friends besides Ponyboy and the rest of them."

"Well, I guess we can look after you for a while." said the woman. "We're Ponyboy's parents, by the way. We have to head to work, so see you later. There's chocolate cake if you want breakfast."

With that, the parents of Ponyboy, Soda, and Darry left with their things.

"So..." said Soda awkwardly. "What?" asked Johnny. "Let's invite the gang over!

Then, just n time, Dallas, Two-Bit, and Steve merge in together. Steve, with a newspaper in his hand (though it's not where he usually places it)

"Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Parents found dead and missing child!" Steve sung. Darry swiped the newspaper from his hand and read it. His eyes filled with shock and anger. "WHAT?!" Darry yelled. "What?' echoed the voices of the other boys.

"They're accusing Bella of the murder of her won parents!"
Bella's eyes filled with surprise and fear. Especially fear. The police were after her and she never wants to go to jail.

"Read it!" Darry said. Soda took the paper from Darry's hands. "Jesus Christ, you're right!" 

"What are we gonna do?" asked Ponyboy. "We can't have her go to jail for something she didn't even do!" Johnny said. 

"All of you are right, but it gets worse man." said Dallas. 

Soda read allowed
"After the police were called by Smith Chase, Police did a review with him. He said 'I heard gunshots and saw the kid run out of the house. Something was obviously wrong, so I called the police."

"THAT'S A LIE!" Bella screamed at the top of her lungs, tears coming to the surface of her eyes. "That son of a BITCH!" Darry yelled. 

"When's the rumble?" asked Soda. "Tonight, man!" Dallas replied. "Good." said Ponyboy. I want to rip some skin off these Socs."
"Calm, yourself Pone." said Darry. 
"-You expect us to be calm when something awful is happening to our new friend!" Johnny yelled.

"Yeah, you're right. We should ALL be angry!" said Two-Bit. Then the house filled with screams of anger so loud that Bella had to cover her ears.
