Hint Of ... Love? Is That What They Call It?

Honoka's POV

"Honoka! You need to be studying for the entrance exams if you really want to go into Otonokizaka that badly."

"I'm trying! It's boooorrrring!" Umi-chan always scolds at me for the most little things.... Although I'm used to it and .. hahaha~

"It's okay Umi-chan. Honoka-chan is doing her best. No need to rush. We have until winter as a deadline and I'm sure the entrance exam shouldn't be too difficult. We have plenty of time to study."

Kotori-chan is always there to support me when ever Umi-chan scolds me. Kotori-chan is sooooo nice! She never really complains nor does she scold. She's so easy to pass by, but she's hard to say no to.

"I guess you're right, Kotori."

Kotori smiles. She's happy that Umi-chan will be more laid back with me.

"Although.. I think it's best if we get your entrance exam done sooner than later. Mid term is during the winter by the way. Soo... it's quite the stress to worry about the entrance exam and the mid terms."

I look at Kotori. She's right. No way I can study for two exams!

"You do make a good point." Umi gives me a very mean look. "I will not let you rest, Honoka."

Someone... please save me.

"BEDMAS. You have to do things in order for the correct answer. If the equation is in brackets- you must calculate the operation in the brackets first. We rarely see exponents so no worries. Division, Multiplication, and the rest- All straight forward. Just do this slowly and step by step, Honoka. Okay?"

Umi-chan is really smart when it comes to stuff like this. She always keeps her cool and have a level minded of thinking. She finds ways to probe the questions and once she has a clear thought about the answer- a snap of her finger and poof! The answer is there.

Kotori is a bit slower, nonetheless Kotori-chan still get good grades. Umi-chan is an easy 90 while Kotori-chan is high 80's. Me... High 50's.

Umi-chan is one of those kids who are good at everything. She's really smart and she happens to be really good at phys Ed as well. She's not a fast as I am, but Umi-chan can run for longer distances. Umi-chan has also been doing kendo back home. She's a prodigy.

She's suppperrr nice and caring too! Well... not nice all of the time, but she can be nice.

"Honoka... want me to come over and help? Or are you fine on your own?"

"I... I need the help. How about you Kotori-chan? Wanna come over and help me out before Umi-chan destroys my ear drums with her lectures?"

"Hahahha~ Sorry Honoka-chan. You're alone with Umi-chan. I'll be sure to give you all of my support via text, Honoka-chan."

"Thanks Kotori-chan." Now I'm dead.

"Well then. What was that, Honoka? About me destroying your ear drums? Is it because I talk too much?"

"Kind of-"

"Listen here, Honoka. Either deal with it and let me help you or you're alone for next week's test. Your choice-"

"I'm sorry Umi-chan! I won't insult you again! I've learned the error of my ways and you've been super generous with me! I owe you an apology and I'm deeply sorry for not appreciating your time and help! Please! Over see this and lend me your hand!"

"That was a bit dramatic. I'll take it." Umi cracks a smile.
