APT 301

Yoongi was mad at Hoseok. For the second time, in less than a month, he was being thrown out. It had been so good to see his old friend again, but that feeling quickly became bitter. Why the hell did Hoseok wanted him out of there to an extent of using exactly the one thing he knew would demote Min Yoongi?

The request had throbbed in his chest in a mixture of pain, sorrow, and rage, something that was even able to take his sleep away from him, which was something unheard of.

So, in lieu of that, the only thing that could make him blow out his anger and calm him was basketball. Playing still had a bittersweet feeling, but he couldn't blame the sport for the bad things that had occurred recently in his life.

Although he loved basketball, being a professional player was not his dream. Making the decision to leave the profession that his father had worked so hard for him to succeed, had destroyed their relationship and lead him to that apartment.

As he threw the ball into the basket, he tried to gather his thoughts about how to solve his problems. He needed to look for another apartment, but he could no longer recover the deposit he had made for the current one. And to be able to rent a new apartment he would need to work on it, however, Hoseok wanted him out of there as soon as possible. At that moment, nothing seemed to be conspiring in his favor.

His game was interrupted when he caught sight of a pale, almost ghostly face in the apartment window next to his. For a moment he really believed in Hobi's lame excuse that the apartment was haunted. Just in case he raised his hand to greet, while making a small bow to apologize for the possible noise he was making at that time of night.

Frustrated with the universe, Yoongi returned to his apartment feeling a burning sensation in the back of his neck the moment he entered the apartment. His face turned just in time to hear a low thud in the next apartment. Yoongi didn't know what to feel, but the idea of really being a ghost scared him, so he just hurriedly entered the apartment and hid in his room.

"This is ridiculous Yoongi. Of course, that was not a ghost" he tried to assure himself.

In order to chase away those thoughts, he went to take a quick hot shower and returned to the room, ready to sleep. Yet, insomnia didn't seem to want to let him go.

Frustrated, he picked up his computer to entertain himself with cat videos, but the first thing that caught his eye was the flickering chat tab of the building communicating system. He opened the message from one SSR and read it carefully.

"Unless ghosts speak by chat, the one in the window was just the neighbor" he laughed at himself, feeling immediate relief.

His fingers hesitated on the keys. She was awake, despite not being online, and he owed her an answer.

SSR is offline
