"Will you stop pacing around! You're making me nauseous." I glared at the giant as we wait for his lawyer to come.
"How can I calm down from this situation?!" He glared back
"You're acting as if I'm gonna do something to you. For your information, I'm the girl here." I rolled my eyes at his as I chomped on my bread
"How can you eat?" He says that but his eyes is fixed on my pasta.
"I'm not sharing!" I hugged my plate closely
"I'm not asking"
"You're drooling." I smirked when he immediately moved his hand to wipe the nonexistent drool.
"Oh shut up!" He grumbled
"You could always ask nicely." I twirled my spaghetti on my fork
"Who knows what potion or poison you put there." His brows meet in the middle and my brows did the same
"Now I'm getting worried. You must be a bad person to think like that." His jaw dropped
"Excuse me? How does that even relate?" He huffed
"You don't do unto others, what you don't want others done unto you." I shrugged and he actually face-pamled. The nerve.
"Finally! Let's get this over and done with!" He ran to the door to open up for his lawyer. I quickly finished my meal and washed the plate quickly.
"Good morning..." his lawyer offered his hand for a hand shake
"Chaeyoung. Park chaeyoung." I accepted his hand and shook it
"Chaeyoung-ssi." He nodded.
"Oh but you can call me rosé." I smiled
"Rosé?" A deep voice joined in
"And you are?" Hmm, come to think of it, we haven't introduced each other yet.
"You don't know him?" His lawyer shockingly looked at me. And I gasped
"You..you're a criminal or some wanted person aren't you?" It all explains his behavior and why he has a lawyer.
"Yah! Stop spouting nonsense! I can sue you for defamation of character and my lawyer is a witness!" We were head on fighting but I had to tip toe a bit so I won't seem smaller
"Okay enough! You really don't know him?" Again, he looked at me like I told him I'm his mother.
"Do I have to?" I raised a brow.
"I am yeol! Park--" park yeol? He wasn't able to finish when his lawyer pulled him to the side. I sat indian seated on the bed as I wait for them to finish.
"Let me see the contracts first to see if there's another way.." the lawyer then grabbed both our contracts and started analyzing it.
"You can sit on the floor you know?" I moved to the side when the giant sat beside me.
"Why don't you?" We were once again on each other's necks when the lawyer appeared in front of us
"There's nothing you can do. You have to move in together." I bit my lips and weighed the pros and cons
"Fine I'll leave!" I can always ask the unnies to help me look
"No you can't" I snapped my head to the lwayer
"But why?! She's willing to move!" The gia- I mean yeol stood up in frustration
"Did you really read the contract?" We both snatched the contracts from the attorney
"Of course we have! It's the same! Except our signatures on it. What else could there be? The owner must've forgotten that he already had someone rent this place." I answered as I skimmed through it again to see if my missed something.
"It's on purpose."
"What?!" Yeol and I yelled at the same time
"Were there restrictions when you inquired about the rent?" I thought about it and snapped my fingers.
"We must pay 3 months in advance!"
"You must be single and moving alone." Yeol added. I nodded when I recalled.
"And you didn't find that fishy?" His lawyer raised a brow at us but we just shrugged.
"That's what I wanted and that's what I was looking for." His lawyer sighed.
"At the very bottom of your contract, read the tiny print." What is he talking about? I squinted and gasped when I saw it. I thought it's just a design with the paper like that copyright stuff at the bottom of a book's page!
The print reads:
P.S. Both occupants should stay within three months to make up their advanced payment, if breached, both parties should pay double of the rent and face charges on court for breaching of contract that could be fined up to ₩10,000,000. Enjoy your stay at Cupid's Cabin 💘
Yeol and I looked at each other and gaped. Unbelievable!
"I can't pay for that! My mom will kill me and revive me just to kill me again!" I shook my head no
"But I can." My eyes went wide.
"You'll pay for us both?" I asked hopefully but before he can answer his lawyer dragged him at the corner again.
"So? Will you pay for us both?" I smiled widely
"I can't. I forgot about the fine. I only meant I can pay if the rent will be doubled." He cleared his throat.
"Now let's get down to business, shall we?" His lawyer sat on the chair and opened his mini type writer.
"What business?" I asked
"Another contract." He started typing
"What contract?"
"A non-disclosure agreement." He answered as he typed away
"What for?" I'm confused
"It's like your house rules but legal." He didn't even bother giving a glance
"B-but.." I immediately took a step back when he stood up and faced me.
"Do you want others to know you're living with this guy?" No. I shook my head
"Do you want to breach the contract? Even if you can pay it you will still need to go to court." Definently no.
"Here. Read it thoroughly this time." He gave me the said contract and I read it carefully. Shooting questions here and there.
"Park chanyeol?" I raised my brow
"Why? Got a problem?" They looked anxious
"Nothing. Just a weird name."
"Hey! What's weird about that! Th--"
"Stop. Continue reading." His lawyer smacked his head with a rolled paper
"So basically we can't tell anyone about each other."
"Correct. And by anyone, that means everyone." Sounds good to me. Who knows what he'll be spread about me.
"It'll only be among three of us, and oh, the owner, that you both live here. And you're living alone for the eyes of the others."
"Don't worry, there's no tricky clause there." His lawyer who I just learned the name, assured me. I signed with chanyeol at the bottom page where it shows as witnessed by: Atty. Wu Yifan.
"I'll give you copies tomorrow. I must head off for now." We thanked him and chanyeol, ugh, his name's too long for my tongue. I'll call him yoda because I noticed he has big ears like yoda.
"Why are you snickering?" His brows are like sewn togther and I can't help but have the same expression every time.
"None of your business." This guy's such a downer.
