I sighed and took in my surroundings. It's good to be back. I don't know much of the language still but I do understand so it's easy for me to communicate.
"Chayooouuunggg-ssi~" I sat up on the bed and stood up to open the door. It's hanbin
"Can I borrow your phone?" I furrowed my eyebrows and hesitantly handed over my phone
"Thanks, I'll be quick." He dialled on my phone and I think I know who he's calling.
"Yah! I knew you'd pick up. Why don't you answer my calls?!" He sulked and dropped to the ground panting. I gasped and looked around. He doesn't really care about his image.
"What are you? A kid?" He throwing tantrums and ranting off to my sister. I'm sure it's hayi on the other end.
"Yah don't you know alot of girls are waiting for my call? You should be honored to even have my number." I raised a brow
"Then give them your number and call them instead!" He let the phone distance from his ears. He pouted and drew imaginary circles on the ground. I find it adorable and I want to choke him at the same time.
"But I only want y- yah!" He looked at my phone in disbelief. He looked up at me for help. I shrugged. He stood up and gave me a watery eyes
"She hunged up on me!" He showed my phone, shook it and stomped on his feet.
"First of all, my sister's a savage. She doesn't like cheesy shit. Second, are you really iKON's leader?" He looked like he was about to cry when I snatched my phone away from him. I redialed hayi's number and put it on speaker phone. She didn't answer.
"She already know it is you so she won't pick up." He sulked and stomped to his room and slammed the door shut.
"Why does he make feel like it's my fault?" I asked no one. I shook my head and closed the door them sat back on bed.
I stared at the ceiling and sighed. Oh, wait. I sat back up and took off my necklace. I stared at it. I followed the instructions and gasped.
I hear his laugh, his hand got something from his pocket and he let it go, letting it dangle on his fingers, shining.
Mahal kita.
Daisuki, Aishiteru.
A tear slipped my eyes as I stared at the wall, where the projection shows the word I Love You written in one hundred languages.
"Who are you?" I whispered to myself. I wiped my tears and called someone on my phone.
"Jisoo unnie!" I called out as soon as she answered.
"Did I have a boyfriend? Did he die? Did the pain of him dying made my memories of him go away?" I asked in one breathing. She told me to calm down but I'm getting overwhelmed. I see no other explanation of why I'd forget about his existence. Did I get into an accident and have an amnesia? But I remember everything else excpet him.
I ended the call and went out. Leaving my phone. I need fresh air. I roamed around, not knowing where I'm going. Just letting myself wander, where my feet will take me.
"Who gave you to me?" I whispered as I looked at the necklace that is clutched on my hand.
"Yah!" Someone snatched it from my hand. I ran after her.
"Yah stop!" I looked around for help but people were far from us.
"Aisht!" I ran full speed after her. She even stopped to look if I was following her. She looks familiar. I gasped. She's the one at the airport! Is she a sasaeng?
I panted and stopped for a while. Damn it. I didn't bring my phone. I weighed the pros and cons in going after a sasaeng but the necklace is more important so I ran after her again. Whe she saw me running again, she smiled and went in a building. I followed and thankfully it seems to be open to the public since no one stopped me from going in.
"Sheesh! Give that back!" I put a hand on my knees, panting.
"Long time no see chaeyoung-ah." She smiled and hanged my necklace and disappeared. I looked around and just noticed where we are. A columbarium. My hairs raised and I paled. Is she a ghost?
I carefully trudged my way tobthe niche where she hanged my necklace. I took it off immediately when I got to it and was about to leave when a picture caught my eye. Tears filled my eyes as I stared at it. It was me and that girl.
"Chaeyoung? Is that you?" I slowly turned to my left.
"It is you! See I told you she'd drop by when she's here." A lady came and hugged me.
"Solar would be very happy to see you here." Solar...
"Best friends forever?" She held her pinky up
"And ever!" I linked it with mine and smiled.
Memories flooded and tears flowed my eyes.
"Omo! Stop crying. I was happy to know you became a singer. Solar have ways pushed you several times but you are too stubborn." She chuckled and wiped my tears. Her father and brother hugged me too.
"I brought it with me, just in case." He gave me an envelope.
"She left a note for you. We didn't know when you moved back to korea so we just kept it since we don't have any contact with you." I shakily took it and wiped my tears.
"Well, we'll leave you with her, we need to go, we just came back cause I left my umbrella." I smiled and nodded
"It's good to see you again. Visit us often ok?" I nodded again. She kissed my cheek and they left.
"Solar..." I whispered. I shakily opened the letter
Hey crybaby, you're crying for me aren't you? Psssh. I feel loved but I don't need your tears. I want your smile. You have a pretty smile. I know I know, stop cursing at me. I love you, my family, I really do. And I know I'm loved by you but I don't love myself enough to go on. I know you must think it's because of the bashers, the fake news, the media. Bitch please, that isn't the only issue I have. Have you forgotten? There will always be things like that happening when you go in the showbiz world. If you have listened to me and became a singer, you would have been able to understand what I'm saying. Chaeyoung-ah don't blame yourself ok? This decision didn't just pop up overnight. This decision is made for a very long time. I'm sorry if I wasn't strong enough to go on. So please, don't ever hold yourself back because of me. Because of what I did. Continue on living for me? And I just want to ask one last thing from you. Even if I gave you one painful memory, we still have lots of happy ones. Please don't forget me.
I covered my mouth and sobbed. I'm sorry. I promise I won't forget you again.
"Don't forget us. Don't forget me, everything about me~" the fans sang along the last line and cheered as the stadium filled with red fire lights. It's a beautiful scene and it means the end of the show. I'm going home. Yoda, I'm coming back.
