"Good morning father, King James." Samira said bowing her head as the guard opened the double door to the grand dinning room, intentionally ignoring her husband who looked at her head to toe.
King James noticed the princess attitude and a smirk formed in his face, his son deserved it, and a woman who knows her worth was all he needed in order to be put in his right place. King James had no doubt that Samira will one day win over Philip's heart and will make a great queen for Esparcia.
Samira walked towards her seat at the table, next to her father, passing by right next to Philip with her chin up, not bothering to look at him for a split of a second. The prince looked stunned by the spirited princess, who was now his wife.
The servants begun bringing out the food.
"I hope our castle was to your liking, King James." Once again Samira ignored Philip with such grace that even herself was impressed.
" It was, I'm very grateful for your hospitality." King James said with a small bow.
"I'm very pleased to hear that." Samira said as a small smile formed in her face.
She now for the first time directed her attention to Philip.
"Perhaps my lord next time you visit Kalon you'll like to instruct the castle staff of your preferences to allow them to accommodate you that way your stay is more enjoyable. I apologize for the displeasing experience at that forced your majesty to abandon the castle in such abrupt manner.
King James and King Odo broke into the loudest laugh, while Philip couldn't do anything to hide the shock he was in, he felt the need to say something but couldn't come up with anything, he's never been scolded by anyone other than his father, specially with such elegance and grace.
At the lost of words all he managed to do was bow to the princess. Anger visible in his eyes.
After that they finished breakfast with small talk mostly from the two kings and Samira, Philip decided to keep quiet. Princess Samira will catch him staring at her from time to time, immediately he will pretend to be looking somewhere else.
King Odo was in the garden taking is morning walk when Samira approached him.
"My girl, I'm so proud of you, I know you'll do just fine in your new home."
"Thank you father, speaking of my new home I wanted to let you know that I'll be taking Esma with me, if you agree of course."
"Unfortunately my dearest daughter that isn't a decision I get to make anymore, your husband should be the one to allow you to take your maid, not me."
