you tucked your hand into your purse, pulling out the long rectangular box.

ten's eyes flickered to your manicured hand, shining in excitement. he looked back up at you, "can i?"

you held it out to him encouragingly, "of course, angel. it's yours."

carefully, he took it from you and peeled off the sleek black lid, gasping at sight of the diamond choker that lay there. 

the younger glanced up at you in disbelief. he wouldn't dare insult you by questioning its authenticity, but he couldn't see why you would get something so priceless for him.
you sensed his apprehensiveness; a reassuring smile was sent his way, the warmth radiating from it causing the apples of his cheeks to brighten in colour.

a shy smile showed his pearly whites as he turned back to the gift. ten hopped up from the seat beside you to land on your thighs. he wrapped his arms around you and let his lips brush your cheek. "thank you mommy, i love it." his voice was soft, and timid, still not used to your affection in the form of these 'little' presents.

you held out your hand, silently telling him to put it there. long nails ran across his neck, a wave of tingles rippling over his body at the caress. slowly, he tilted his head up, letting you place a soft kiss there, a cold sensation following.

"so pretty..." you breathed, gazing at ten. flutters emerged in his stomach as his dark eyes caught yours, wide in adoration. "my beautiful baby boy."
