Her heart pounding in her ears, Natasha fled from the room. She had to find somewhere to hide. But on top of everything, she knew she had to protect the other student. Remembering what they had done to Peter, it filled her with a strange desire to help the others instead of just herself.
She honestly liked that feeling. It made her seem as though she was stronger and braver than she really was.
As she heard people walking towards her, Natasha ducked around the corner and ran into the first safe place she saw: the girl's bathroom. That would hopefully be the last place they would check. And if it was, that would give her enough time to think of a plan.
"Okay. Okay. What should I do?" She whispered to herself.
"We will find her sir. Just give us few more minutes." A man's voice said, just outside of the bathroom door. He was speaking in Russian.
"You have half an hour." Another man said. That voice. She knew that voice. But who was it?
After she heard the footsteps of the people walk away, she pushed open the bathroom door and looked around. Nobody was there.
Natasha walked out of the bathroom as silently as she could. She was planning on finding Loki and helping him get all the students out.
As she rounded another corner, she glanced behind her, thinking someone had followed her. But to her surprise, she bumped into someone. Someone she hadn't seen in a long time.
"I-Ivan?" She whispered.
"Ah, Natalia. It's been awhile. You thought we wouldn't find you?"
Natasha couldn't comprehend what was going on. She glanced back up at Ivan Petrovich, trying to muster a glare.
Ivan grabbed Natasha's arm and pulled her to her feet, preventing any chance of her escape. He pulled her two guns away from her, found the small knife and took that too.
Reaching for the communication device in his ear, Ivan said "I found her. Let's go."
That's when everything came back to her. All her training; her past life; everything that he had done to her saying that it was because he loved her. And once upon a time, she used to believe that. It took her over a year to realize the truth: he was using her. He didn't love her, he needed her for his wicked plans.
Natasha dropped, using all the weight to fall out of Ivan's arms, but he had been expecting that. He held on to her not letting get fall out of his grasp.
She tried to kick his legs out from under him, and surprisingly it worked.
"You're not taking me!" She hissed through clenched teeth.
Ivan chuckled softly, like a parent laughing at their kid for something wrong that they said.
"Oh Natalia, or is it Natasha now? Either way, you haven't lost your fire have you?"
Natasha turned to run, but Ivan caught her arm again. She turned towards him, a wild look on her face, and buried her teeth in his arm.
Ivan yelped with surprise and pain as Natasha bit down as hard as she could. She wanted him to feel the pain, even though it was in a strange way.
She unclenched her jaws from his wrist and ran off. She heard voices behind her, asking if Ivan was okay. All he said was to get her.
Natasha first instinct was to find Loki. For some reason, her gut was telling that he would be able to protect her.
She kept running. He would probably be in Mrs. Jones' class. She rounded another corner, her breath getting heavier and more jagged by the second. And bam! She slammed right into someone.
They both fell to the ground from the impact of the blow. Natasha looked up, ready to fight. She found Loki's familiar scowling face.
She stood up and ran towards him, throwing her whole self into his lap and wrapping her arms around him.
"Loki! I'm so glad it's you!" She exclaimed. She pulled away slightly, realizing what she had done.
She picked herself off of his lap, her face turning a bright red. "Sorry," she muttered.
Loki, who was surprisingly red himself, stood up and dramatically brushed his clothes off.
"I had to get every single student into Mrs. Jones' class! Where were you?!" Loki demanded.
"Trying to find you!" Natasha remarked. "I need your help."
"Quick! She went this way!" A voice said. Many pounding feet were heard.
Natasha turned towards Loki, a determined look on her face. "You can help me, but it's up to you."
And on that note, Natasha ran down the hallways. She rushed at the first guy, jumping on to his shoulders and choking him with her thighs. Once he was passed out, she climbed off, ready to fight the next one.
She kicked his legs out from under him. His head hit the floor with a sickening thud. Pulling his gun from his pocket, he aimed it at Natasha.
Natasha, ready to duck out of the way, noticed the gun start quivering. Was he scared to shoot her? No. He was trying to hold on to the gun. It went flying from his hands and she heard it land in the hands of whoever was trying to take it.
Natasha slowly turned. There stood Loki, the gun in his hand.
"Oh would you look at that!" Loki voice dripped with sarcasm. He aimed the gun at the man's heart and shot, also shooting the three others who were with them.
"So, you did decide to help." Natasha said with a smirk.
"This is no time to smile, Romanoff," Loki said, smiling back.
Natasha sighed and rolled her eyes. She walked over to the man she had taken out. She searched his pockets and found a shot gun.
"There will be a lot more were they came from," Natasha stood up, turning towards Loki, "but we have to keep the others safe. And on top of that, you have to tell me how the devil you took that man's gun without touching it."
"Maybe soon." Loki said. "Let's stop whoever this is first."

I wrote this while I was super tired so it sucks, I know. But yeah. Hopefully you guys like it.
I think I see the end of this story in sight. I'm not sure yet. If I'm being completely honest, I never came up with a plot for this. I decided to write it one night when I couldn't sleep and I just thought: "Well, it would be fun to write a highschool au." That was the birth of this terrible story.
If you liked this chapter, please leave a vote. Feel free to comment what you think too!
