"I'm sorry I'm late!" I bowed to the teacher, quickly apologizing and hoping not to get a tardy on my first day.

"Hm? What's your name?" The teacher spoke, grabbing his clipboard.

"Naoyuki Ito, sir."

After a while of scanning across his clipboard, he looked at me. "You're not in my class, not at this moment. You're supposed to be in Art II which is in the other building, you're already late so I suggest you hurry up." He explained to me through his mask.

I nodded, and before turning to leave, my eye caught Zabuza and Haku sitting in the corner. I gave them a little smile with a wave, before hurrying out.

I knocked on the classroom and slowly opened the door, the teacher turning to look at me. "Naoyuki Ito?"

I nodded and walked up to her, apologizing for my tardiness. The classroom was loud, busy and scattered all over the place as they chatted on about their projects to notice me.

"Late. Don't let it happen again. You may be seated between Sai and Deidara." She pointed out before swiftly going back to grading projects. Rude that she assumed I might know who they are. But I did, sorta.

I took a seat next to the blonde and supposed Sai kid.

Deidara seemed too busy arguing over with.. Sasori, he was here too! I felt a little tap on my shoulder and I turned to the boy. He had dark hair with pretty pale skin, his smile so warm and soft.

"Hello, ma'am. I'm Sai. And I take it you're the new student, Naoyuki?" He spoke through a smile, his eyes forming crescents as he did so.

"Just call me Nao.." I smiled back at him before looking at what he had drawn. It was a bunch or spiraling animals with a beautiful background, mountains and such. It seemed almost too realistic.
"Whoa, you're pretty darn good at this!"

"Why, thank you. Art is simply the expressing of true beauty in its natural form, I try to get it as accurate as I could." He spoke out, turning to admire his own board.

"I heard that! Art is considered art unless it's capable of going out with a BANG." He chuckled proudly and held up a spider made of clay, appreciating his own artwork until he took me into notice. "You!"

"Oh, yeah. Um, hello Deidara." I scratched the back of my neck nervously but tried to sound as nice as I could.

"What're you doing here?!" He set down his clay spider and crossed his arms, leaning closer with narrowed eyes. "Hm?"

I slowly leaned back at the proximity of us both, turning to glance at Sai for any help but he only sat still, flashing me his smile, unfaltered. Ugh.

"I have art with you guys, too." Sighing, I placed my hand on his head and pushed him back to sit upright.

"Impossible. You can't possibly draw, you don't even know what art is! Bet." Deidara smirked and stared at me with a raised brow.

"Yes, I do too!" I huffed, pulling out my art supplies from my backpack.

"What does art mean to you?" This time it was Sasori's turn to speak, staring at me with bored eyes.

"Art is.. it differs for each person. It allows us to find ourselves in it and lose ourselves in it at the same time. Art isn't a thing- it's a way. A way of expressing oneself. There's not just one style of superior art, everybody has their own way. Art is something that has people coming together in the same emotion and feelings.." I trailed off knowing I blabbered too much and probably bored them.

Sasori and Deidara only stared at me, frozen and still. Sai was the first to break the silence.

"Interesting. You're such an artist already, Nao-Chan." He chuckled. The teacher came upto us, eyes narrowed as she stared at us four.

"You guys haven't even started yet! Class is half way through, I need the drawings on my desk before you leave. And for Nao, the theme is Oceanside. Any art form is fine, just get it done." With that, she turned and left to judge the other students artworks.

"You're quite impressive.." Sasori began in his seat, pulling out a couple wooden pieces from his satchel bag. "I'm looking forward to how you'll come up with the themed work."

"Could you be scared of spiders?" Before he could finish speaking, he had tossed a small rubber spider towards me, realistic looking too.

I gasped softly and backed up into Sai, stepping on the wicked creature before feeling the rubber under my shoe. "Oh."

"You're totally scared of them! I know how I'll get you back for calling me a girl now.~" Deidara smirked and eyed Sasori, the redhead merely shrugging and going back to carving out in the wooden pieces.

"Shut up, Barbie." I stuck my tongue out at him, to which his eyes widened in anger.

"It's said that if a woman leans on you, she trusts that you won't let her fall. Trust is what a relationship is built on." Sai starts speaking as if reading a script, his other hand holding my waist. "Very well. I shall not let you fall, dear Nao-Chan~" He speaks oh so sweetly, I cringe.

"Ugh." I grunt and push myself off Sai, losing balance over my stool, only to trip forward onto Deidara's warm chest.

"Falling for me already?" He smirked down at me.

"Shut up, you two are annoying!" I scramble to my feet and drag my stool to sit next to Sasori, who seemed about as bored as usual. "Atleast he's more sober and less annoying than you two. Oh, and he's way more artistic!" I grinned as I spoke the last sentence, knowing it must've hit deep. And it did.

Sasori merely smirked at those words.
