She fell in love on a warm summer day, when everyone prayed it wouldn't rain
He fell in love on a humid July afternoon,
when his friends begged the lightning not to strike
They fell in love during a hot summer break, where they asked the clouds not to pour
They fell in love during a steamy summer fling
All they ever wanted was an infinite number of forevered days
But that seemed impossible
They couldn't hold off the weather forever
The shimmering sun was bound to hide behind a slate colored cloud at some point
And when it did tears swelled throughout the world
As their relationship came to a sudden end
It had begun with a bright ray of sun and ended with a sharp roll of thunder
Because they both fell apart, when the sky started to rain
