CHAPTER 26

June's POV:

"That's it. Now take a look at yourself princess." Annie said with a proud smile on her face. I stood in front of the mirror and smiled at my reflection. Annie did a little makeup to my face which I'm thankful for and she pushed my hair into a braid and left some locks of my hair free at both sides of my face.

"You are a lifesaver, Annie." I hugged Annie and she chuckled rubbing my back.

"Anything for you princess." She bowed making me laugh."I think my work is done here. It's better if I start getting ready." Annie muttered more to herself and headed to the washroom.

"June hand me over that nude lipstick, " Shannu asked me. She was looking beautiful in her nude color black pleated dress with matching nude heels, her hair was left free making her even more beautiful.

Handing over the lipstick I went to Lyn who is playing with her phone. Grabbing the phone from her hands I tucked it in my pocket.

"what the f***?"Lyn shouted sending a murderous glare towards me.

"Lyn, come on. Party is going to get started."I whined for the umpteenth time.

"How many times I need to tell you that I'm not feeling well. You guys carry on." Lyn replied and tried to dig into my pocket. Hitting her hand away I stepped back from her while scowling.

"Don't be a pussy Lyn and please enlighten me about your 'not so feeling well' bullshit," Shannu asked sarcastically and stood beside while flipping her hair.

"Lyn Destiny Scott, I will drag you out of this room right now, If you didn't get ready for the party and I'm fucking serious about that." I shouted giving a pointed look, Lyn blow a defeated sigh and muttered 'you guys are impossible' under her breathe and went towards the closet.

Shannu and I started dancing for our little victory behind her back. Lyn stopped in her tracks and aim a comb towards us Shannu and I both ducked at the same time which angered Lyn even more. Showing the middle finger to the both of us she turned back making us laugh.

"Open it. Open it" Annie and Shannu squealed making my ears hurt. Blake sent a dress for me to wear at his birthday party today, which shocked all of us.

Because Blake was not a guy who sent flowers and gifts to a girl. Obviously, I love this romantic side of him. I didn't get a chance to wish him personally which dropped my smile a little.

Jacob said he went to meet a friend and he will be here when the party begins. Ever since we came here he has been busy meeting his friends.

"I can't believe he buys a dress for you June. Blake never gave a shit about the girls he dated before and I am pretty sure he is head over heels for you. "Annie giggled making me snap out of my thoughts.

"Did he ever talk about me while I was in California?" those words flew out of mouth making me cringe. "Sorry, I just carried away. you don't...."Annie beat my words.

"I know Blake from the past years and he is one of those tough guys who are very hard to break. When we all started hanging out Blake always seemed to be a little off and doesn't show any interest in hanging out with us but Jacob never left him alone. We five pretty clicked together except Blake of course. It took several years for him to get used to us. From that day the only thing he talks about is you. He talks about you like you was his happiness and light of his life. He never gets tired of speaking about you and no single day has passed for him without missing you June." when she finished my eyes were filled with tears and my heart gets tightened making me gasp for air.

Shannu hugged me tight and nodded her head like she understands what I am feeling right now.

But, no one understands what I am feeling right now. No single day has passed for me without missing my mom and Blake. They both are the most beautiful persons in my life. Anyone in their right mind will definitely hate the person who killed their mother but I on the other hand never hate Blake for what he has done.
