"Do you love him?" the question seemed to catch him off guard a little and he stopped, however he quickly composed himself and pursed his lips in thought.
"No," he decided after a couple moments silence. "I don't love him. I can say that now with certainty. I don't love him. Maybe I had before, but that spark is long gone now." he scoffed a bit, then continued his short speech "After what he's done to everyone, I can say with one hundred percent certainty that I don't love him." After those words had passed Whizzer's lips, he continued walking further away, with the wiry psychiatrist in tow.
Marvin sat there for a couple moments in shock, the other mans words echoing his head 'After what he's done to everyone,' those exact words would haunt him forever. The many times he had wronged everyone flashed through his mind like a movie being shown to him. His loved ones expressions turning from shock to defeat, then anger. The last couple years had been an almost dream. He had been in a haze-like state, not thinking of anyone other than himself, until it was too late. Until he had broken everyone he loved. The reality of everything he had done hit him hard, tears welled up in his eyes in realization. He sobbed until he couldn't breathe, then the darkness closed in around him, enveloping him until he lost consciousness, collapsing on the floor.
He awoke in a new setting, the stylish decor of the house seeming too bright for his recent realization. How recent it was, however, remained a mystery. Marvin groaned a bit, wondering how long he had been out. He then heard the sound of approaching footsteps.
"Oh, good you're still alive," A blonde haired girl exclaimed in what sounded like relief in a joking tone "Char and I saw you pass out and figured we'd bring you here." She gestured to the room they were in.
Marvin now recognized the girl as one of his neighbors, Cordelia, or something like that.
"Sorry to bother you," he said, sitting up a bit "I should get going now-"
He was quickly cut off by another girl walking into the room, frowning.
"No, I saw everything, and I think it's safe to say that you should stay with us until everything smooths over. You're Marvin, right?"
Marvin then recognized this girl as one of Trina's many friends.
"I'm guessing Trina told you about me?" he asked wearily.
"Yeah." She replied, shrugging "All the reasons why you should stay with us for a while until you get back on your feet. We can help you if you'll let us."
She offered him a kind smile and Marvin realized that these girls could help him change for the better.
"Okay," He said, mustering up a weak smile.
