Everlasting Mission: Act I

Act I (England X Reader)

It’s definitely something you normally don’t find with an England X Reader-chan fic. So enjoy!

Nothing but the sound of your footsteps could be heard within the deserted darkened hallway. Decked all out in black you quickly sprinted down to the end of the hall where one door was knowing this was the place where your mission was held. Smirking at the sad security scanners, you slowly reached into your pocket only to bring out a glove and gently placed it on top of the green handprint. Before you could even blink the door suddenly unlatched itself from the wall before silently swinging inward revealing your mission.

The one and only Excalibur. Or at least that’s what you thought the sword was called. You’ve heard very many names for this double-edge sword but for some reason the word Excalibur just seemed to fit it just right. After all, its metal was glowed against the moonlight that streamed through the skylight windows giving the room an eerie time killing atmosphere.

“Oh this is just too easy,” You laughed at the sight of it.

Taking a small step forward you quickly jerk back feeling a sharp intense pain in your left arm. Hissing at it you find your wound to be a thin straight line both through your clothes and flesh, nothing human could ever make a mark like that. So bringing out some cover-up powder, you quickly break it up only to blow over it giving you the visibility you needed. You knew it, lasers were behind this one. Not just one though, millions of them were scattered around the room obviously giving your mission the kind of vibe you wanted.

“Sweet, just what I was craving for,” You smirked forgetting about your wound.

Judging by the color and intensity of the light, these lasers weren’t any ordinary ones. In fact, just like your illustration it can and will cut through anything including your bones. So with a quick breath and smile, you took a couple of steps back before running full speed at them. Just before you hit the lasers you did a couple of front flips and easily slipped through. After a couple more of front and back flips plus a few slow cart wheels you found yourself staring down at the sword with victory.

“Who would have thought I would be taking this for my mission,” You slowly removed it from its glass display only to slip it into a black cloth. Instantly a blaring alarm went off allowing you to roll your eyes a bit at the sound. “Too late to do that now…” Tying a few strings around the clothed sword, you made a strap and slung it over your shoulder with ease. “Now how do I get out of here…?”

That’s when your gaze saw a vent above you causing your lips to sneer a bit.

“Today must be my lucky day or something,” You jumped on top of the glass case.

Once you had a good amount of balance you reached up and punched in the metal grate with ease before jumping up and crawled in. As the alarm kept blaring its alarm you slowly crawled your way out to the edge of the building until you saw the night air outside another metal grate. Smirking, you quickly kicked it out only to crawl out with some difficulty and stood up. Dusting yourself off, you slowly started to sneak away obviously staying away from any type of light possible. Soon enough you were walking down another street with a small laugh of victory thinking about your successful mission. But before you could even blink a blinding square of light landed on your small figure causing you to frown and squint after hearing a voice from behind it.
