AHHHHHHHHH, fml! I lost track of the days and forgot it was Saturday! There's still half an hour though...my bad everyone.

Anyways, just get comfortable and enjoy the read.

The duo reached the tall skyscraper like building and landed at the base of it. "Well at least we have a place to stop and gather our thoughts."

Peridot said dropping Steven on the ground.

"Thanks for not just leaving me behind or something Peridot." Steven said while dusting himself off.

"It's only because I am required to fulfill my end of the agreement if I want my foot back."
She said giving him a slight glare as she grabbed her branch. In reality, not even that would've made her care for his wellbeing, no...she needed his gem.

"Well nevertheless...I still thank you, it's just good manners." He smiled before turning to the door. It was extremely tall and it had the diamond insignia on it. "Woah...big door." Was all he had to say.

"Well the Diamonds are mighty, therefore, they require such grand things." Peridot said as she went to unlock and open it via hand pad.

After putting her digits on the large pad, it blinked red with a buzzer. "Hm...I guess this is the tower of a Diamond, so it would be only sensible that only elite gems could open it." She said pulling out a plasma blast. "Forgive me my Diamond."

"Wait, wait, wait!" Steven said stepping in front of her. "If we destroy the door, things can follow us in, right?"

"Hm, I guess I didn't think of that..." she said putting it away. "Then what do you suggest?"

"Maybe I can try? No hand pad has said no to me yet." He chuckled lightly as he stepped up to it.

"Go for it." Peridot said sarcastically. He dropped his hand down on it and to her surprise the door opened instantly.

"Alright!" Steven chuckled as he ran into the tower.

Inside was extremely dark and ominous. Steven could make out many plants that had managed to get their way inside the old base and just the general wear and tear of the building.

"Well, it must be faulty or something." Peridot said bitterly as she turned on her light and pointed it around.

"Maybe." Steven shrugged. "So where to now?"

"Well, we can find the data for this colony if we go to the top at the observation dome." She said as she walked onto a pad that lit up in Yellow, Blue, Pink, and White. "So come on then."

Steven walked over next to her and stood there. "So...What are we doi-woah!" He almost fell over as the pad ascended. "Hahahaha, so cool."

Peridot roiled her eyes at him. "It's just a simple elevation pad, it's ancient technology, really."

"Heh, I guess to gems it is, but the humans of Earth are years behind the technology you call ancient." He said as they reached the top.

"Just another example on how the Earth is inferior in all ways other than it's much needed nutrients." Peridot said as she walked away from him and over to the Diamond throne.

She used her digits to enter in the pattern. White, Yellow, Blue, Pink, White. "If The Diamonds knew I know this, I'd surly be shattered." She said quietly.

Peridot went through files for a bit till she saw something in the reflection. She turned around with a panicked look. "What do you think you're doing?!"
