Hey, this is my first fic and to be honest I don't write much so if my grammar is a bit off then I apologize.
Hope you enjoy!
-=Third Person POV=-
It was around eleven in the morning when Steven had finally gotten up. He tossed his covers off himself and stood up with a stretch and a yawn.
"Woah, I guess I must've been really tired." He noted after taking a look at his alarm clock. He glanced off the ledge of his room to see that no one was there at the moment.
"That's weird, Pearl or Amethyst usually wake me up if I sleep in..." Steven says wondering where the three eldest gems could be. He brushed it off thinking that they were just in their rooms before grabbing his cloths and rushing to the shower.
Things have been a bit hectic lately, what with him and the Gems almost being taken to Homeworld by Jasper and Peridot, and then having to clean up the mess as well as chase Peridot down...so it would be nice to have some time to just shower and watch some TV.
After he left the bathroom, dressed and ready for some him time, he had gone into the kitchen to make breakfast. Upon getting to the fridge to grab some toaster waffles, (which paled in comparison to Pearl's) he noticed a note.
"Dear cutie-pie
Hello, Steven. Sorry we aren't here this morning, we may have found a lead on Peridot. We will be home late so don't stay up past your bedtime.""I had a feeling you'd want waffles today so I had Pearl make you some, just how you like them. Love you <3"

"Aww, guys," He grinned as he opened the fridge and saw a plate of waffles covered in whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a few strawberries in a pale white bubble that was trapping the heat in it.
He carefully took the bubble to the counter and hopped onto a barstool before popping it. He took a deep whiff of the sweet aroma and began to eat.
A few hours later he had done a lot of relaxing only to find it boring. "Ugggggh, I guess relaxing just isn't my thing..."
He shut off the TV which was playing a recorded episode of crying breakfast friends. "I know," He said out loud. "I'll just see what Connie is doing." He smiled as he pulled out his phone.
After a few rings she finally picked up. "Hey, Connie!" He beamed. "Whatcha doing?"
"Oh, hey Steven! Uh...I'm actually on my way to Violin practice right now, then I have tennis practice afterwards." She said sounding unhappy that she couldn't spend the day with her 'Jam Bud'.
"Oh...well then I guess that means you can't come and hangout today?" Steven sighed loosing his earlier excitement.
"Sorry, Steven. I can hang out all day tomorrow though." She promised. This seemed to brighten his mood a little.
"Alright then, I'll hold you to it." He chuckled. "See ya tomorrow Connie, bye."
"See you tomorrow Steven, I'll text or call you later." She said before hanging up the phone.
He sighed before standing up. Lately he had thought a lot about having a potentially dangerous Gem running around, as well as how Lapis had given up her freedom for him... he had made a mental promise to do all he could to find and save her from Jasper.
Steven walked out of the beach house looking over the ocean feeling a mix of anger at himself and Jasper and sadness for her wash over him. "I should've done more to help on that ship...but I just left you in there. I'm so sorry, Lapis..."
He hopped down onto the beach and slowly made his way to town to find more to do. He spent the rest of his day at Funland and the arcade before spending some time on the beach, but it just wasn't as fun alone and with these thoughts weighing on his mind.
-=Later that night=-
-=Steven's house=-
-=Steven=-Now in the beach house, the sun had set and Steven was in his night cloths and laying in bed. He turned off the lights and looked around himself.
"Good night MC bear bear, good night sleepy kitty, good night ominous triangle at the foot of my bed..." He said as he slowly closed his eyes, but just as soon as they closed they shot back open. "Wait, what?!" But before he could react, Peridot had grabbed him and took off toward the warp pad.
Once they landed at their destination Peridot tossed him to the galaxy warp. "Fix it, so I can get off this wretched rock!" She shouted impatiently.
It took him a second for his brain to adapt to what was happening. "O-Ok, just give me a second, my mouth gets dry when I'm nervous."
He panicked as he tried to get his mouth to produce some saliva. He finally was able to get enough to spit into his hand.He didn't want to do this but he had no choice, he was too panicked for his gem to listen to him anyway, so it wasn't like he could fight back.
He slapped his saliva covered hand onto the galaxy warp and prayed for nothing to happen.
Peridot must've prayed harder because the warp slowly began to get repaired.
'The one time I don't want you to work!' He thought as he watched all the cracks fill in.
"Nyhehehehehehe, yeeeeesss!" Peridot cheered excitedly, but it was short lived as the warp pad behind her hummed before the Crystal Gems stood there, weapons ready.
"PERIDOT, LET HIM GO AND STEP AWAY FROM THE WARP!!" Garnet demanded, but to everyone's horror, she charged a plasma blast and grabbed Steven.
"Come any closer and he gets it!" She warned backing up onto the large warp pad, and in one instant, their world came crashing down as Peridot dropped a device on it before herself and their Steven disappeared in a flash of light.
Garnet was the first to charge forward to follow them but she was sent flying back by an explosion...he was gone...and there was no trace of the Warp that had taken him away.
-=End Of Chapter=-
Well as always the first chapter is short, my bad, but this is set out to be a grand adventure! I am homeschooled so school can't get in the way of my writing, but I'm sure writer's block can and will.
See you next time, please stick around!
