Hello everyone, how is it goin? You comfortable? Nice and warm or cool depending on your preference? To those that answered yes, good for you, glad you are all comfy. Those who aren't, well you're doin life wrong so fix that immediately! Or don't, it's up to you.
Anyway, I just wanna stop and say thank you all for reading. I don't say it enough, and I feel like I should. You inspire me to continue when I feel like I don't have anything to offer anymore. Kind of like right now. I started out five chapters ahead but now I just posted chapter nine...I'm falling behind, and I need to fix that, so again: thank you all for your support and love. I love you all.
Now, the story.
—————————Planet X——————————
The sun shone through the glass observation dome slowly waking Steven up. He yawned with a stretch before looking around the area until his eyes landed next to him.
Peridot was sitting there asleep, she had been watching him closely through most the night till she fell asleep too. He smiled fondly at her, remembering the previous night.
She had saved his life, not only did she stop him from being eaten but she also fixed his gem. He kind of owed her his life now.
The boy also recalled how he never got her the item that he was originally out to get her the previous night, but he decided that it would be best to stay around her, he didn't want to scare her like he did last night.
'She was crying... I feel horrible for scaring her like that. I shouldn't leave her alone just in case she starts thinking I left her again.' He decided as he laid his head on her lap gently as he watched the clouds pass by.
This planet isn't nearly as bad as they originally thought. If anything, he enjoyed it here at times. Though it was usually when he was with his friend and this was only the third day he had been here... her and the natives made this whole ordeal so much better.
Maybe he could change Peridot...maybe he could take her back home and she could join the Crystal Gems. Though he didn't want to keep trying to make her join them...he wanted it to be her own decision, otherwise he would just be manipulating her into leaving behind her life.
He had no idea what her home was like other than what the gems told him...but that was their biased opinion, maybe it wasn't so bad, maybe some gems actually enjoyed life there. So no, he wasn't going to try and convince her to go with him, it would be her choice from her own idea.
He felt her stir under him and looked up with a smile. "Morning Peri, sleep well?"
————————-Peridot's POV————————-
I had woken up from hibernation feeling a light pressure on my lap. After I sat up I felt the pressure shift as I looked down. Steven's head was on my lap while he looked up. "Morning Peri, sleep well?"
"I guess I slept fine...I didn't have any more of those visions this time, so it was better." I admit whilst remembering the last time I slept.
"But why are you on me?" I question him while slowly moving him off of me.
"Oh, sorry. I guess I didn't even realize that I did it. Heh, Peri pillow." He chuckles.
I'm unsure of what a pillow is but I'm sure even though it has to do with me it wasn't an insult so I just ignore the comment. "So what are we doing today? Relaxing sounds good, though I'd like to work on getting away from here, I'm not really in the mood."
"Actually I wanted to bring you to town so we can pick up your gift." He said, jumping up from his spot and down onto the floor but stumbled and landed on his bottom.
