Rose was practically bursting with excitement as they waited for WICKED to come on stage. Thomas was pressed up close next to Lizzy, they were on the floor where everyone was standing, there wasn't much room but they were thankfully up front so there was some breathing space in front of them. Thomas' heart was beating out of his chest. He hadn't seen Newt in almost a month and he was going to be right there, right in front of him, in just a few short minutes.

The lights turned off and Thomas jumped. The stage lit up and the pit in his chest tripled in size. He could barely hear anything over the screams of the crowd. He was a little overwhelmed at how many people were there. The seats were packed to the top. People we're wearing WICKED shirts, some even had signs. Thomas had no idea how any of them got on that stage in front of easily thousands of people. The screams got louder and Thomas almost choked when he looked back up on the stage. There he was, the boy who absolutely crushed his heart.

Newt looked good, unfairly good. He had on those beautifully flattering black skinny jeans cuffed into his boots. He had on a black button down shirt with a red tie on. It was different from what he normally wore but god did it work for him. Minho was on his drum set, grinning like he was exactly where he was born to be. Teresa looked stunning as always. She had on black shorts with fishnet tights on, the shirt she was wearing looked to be made of fishnet material also but she had on one of those bralettes under it, it was flattering. Thomas felt something pull in his heart. He missed them.

"Hey guys!" Teresa called into the microphone which let out another round of screams from the crowd. She grinned and flipped her curls over her shoulder. "We are so excited to be here. You know we all grew up in this town, WICKED was born in this town-"

Thomas cringed as more people started screaming, they were all definitely going to lose their voices in the morning.

Teresa smiled again, putting her hand on her hip. "So who's ready for our own first ever live show?"

They broke out then, the lights on the stage flashing and the sound of Minho's drums booming through the arena. Thomas kept his eyes locked on Newt naturally. He got flashbacks to the first time he saw him, squinting at him playing from across the shitty bar. He remembered how his shirt collar felt too tight then and he couldn't look away.

He felt the same way now. He felt himself smiling softly, Newt looked so at home up there and for the first time since they broke up he knew that they both had made the right decision. Newt was happy up there, it was where he was supposed to be, it hurt that he wasn't his anymore but Newt was in a band and his band was fucking good.

Rosie was jumping around and singing loudly, Lizzy started dancing with her at some point which she loved. Thomas smiled softly at them. Forgiving Rose wasn't as hard as he thought it was going to be. It was fairly easily, she had good intentions, she always did. Did he wished it turned out different? Of course, but there was really no use in staying harbored in the past.

Thomas was starting to get tired after an hour and half. It was a lot of time on his feet and the extremely loud noises were still overwhelming to him. The familiar cords started and Thomas smiled to himself. They were playing the song that got on the radio. Thomas remembered that day, he remembered when Newt invited him over and they watched Bohemian Rhapsody while he played with Blink and Bo. He remembered how Newt kissed him when Minho and Teresa weren't in the room. He remembered how he sat on his lap and pressed his body closer to his. He remembered what it felt like to love Newt and have Newt love him.

"This is their last one," Lizzy said as she leaned close to his ear.

Thomas nodded, letting her know that she heard him. He found himself feeling sad. He knew this was probably the last time he was going to see Newt in person and it sucked. The song ended and the crowd went insane as Teresa did a dramatic bow, flipping her hair up when she stood up.
