Reaching up, my body passes through the window of the key, enlarging as I exit to the outside world. My feet touch the ground and I check my surroundings.
Coast is clear.
Taking out my phone, I sling my bag over my shoulder and get a move on, looking at the map on the screen.
I weave through the tables and customers of the restaurant, heading to the entrance at the opposite side. Getting out into the streets, I look for a path where the two elite guards won't be able to spot me.
A few meters out, and I hear a loud explosion, the ground rumbling and shaking a little beneath my feet. I stop to steady myself before quickly glancing towards the direction of the explosion.
Crap, I have to hurry!
Picking up my pace, I turn to the nearest bridge, spotting Tiziano help a bleeding Squalo off the balcony as I cross.
I continue to run in the direction of their building, hoping I'm not too late when I get there.
Eventually, I catch them standing on a staircase with Tiziano covering Squalo in some type of pullover. I stop and take a few steps back, trying to think of how I should approach them.
How am I supposed to do this? Unlike with La Squadra, there's barely anything I know about them that others normally wouldn't. And whatever I do know will probably just have them raise their guard.
I sigh.
All of this thinking is making my head hurt.
Well, if nothing works, then I'll have to take the risk of offering to show them my Stand.
Satisfied with what I have, which is basically nothing except for a Plan B, I turn back around and approach the couple. Only to pause and stare at them.
Is it just me or do they seem even more gay? I mean, not that there's anything wrong with that, but like. . . It seems like they have to physically be restrained from fucking right here and now.
Not the smartest move, if I do say so myself.
The couple had noticed me while I was spacing out and, due to their Stands being far away, attempted to escape.
"H-hey, wait!" I yell, raising my hand as I run up to them.
I manage to get in front of the two, blocking their escape route.
"Oh, it's just the tag-along." Tiziano says once I get in front of them.
What. . . ?
"You know, you gave the boss quite a scare when he saw you on the security footage. He thought one of the members had already deleted all of their information, but turns out, it's just a commoner." The silver-haired man continues. "Not to mention one that's moved here recently."
I stay still, watching as the man keeps talking, making sure the two of them don't pull off anything funny.
"You're placing yourself in your deathbed if you try to kill the boss." Tiziano states. "I'm surprised you even knew about his existence. But none of that will matter once us elite guards dispose of your lot!"
"I don't intend in killing yo-!"
Something shuffles in my bag before I feel a sharp stinging sensation on my shoulder.
"Ack!"
I take some steps forward to catch my balance before shakily reaching a hand to my injured shoulder.
