Clementine POV
I awoke to hear a loud ringing,I groaned knowing it was my alarm. I checked the time;7:00 I slapped my hand down on the clock to make it shut up. I rubbed my eyes slowly and then felt a shiver down my spine as I remembered it was my first day of Ericsson. We had to move due to my dad Lee getting a new job as a brain surgeon, we originally lived in Georgia and we moved to Pennsylvania so it was quite far of a move. I hated leaving my friends behind but we all agreed we would FaceTime every chance we got to keep in touch.

I got out of bed and went to pick out my clothes I picked out a orange cropped hoodie along with some faded navy ripped jeans. As I was walking out of my room I almost forgot my dad's baseball hat I looked at it and frowned.

My parents left on a plane to Savannah but 4 days later I got heartbreaking news that they had died in a plane crash while traveling on their way back. I was put into an orphanage and later adopted by Lee when I was eight, three years later he adopted another kid named Alvin Junior,Aj for short.

His parents died in a car accident, the roads were frozen and their vehicle went off the road. But I always remember they are safer and are always looking down on me and Aj.

I heard Lee call out my name. "I'll be right down!" I slipped the hat onto my head and walked down the stairs.

Lee POV
I scooped the pancakes onto the plate and put it where Clementine usually sits. I then look up to see Clementine and Aj already sitting down "mornin sweet pea, morning Aj." "Morning dad" they both said in unison. "Well I have to get to work don't wanna be late on my first day,Clementine your in charge of getting Aj to school and picking him up afterwards." Clementine nodded telling me she knew what to do, I placed kisses on both of their heads' and got into my car and headed to work.

Clementine POV
I grabbed mine and Aj's backpack and wrapped mine around my shoulder. I put Aj into his carseat and started up the car and drove off I then put on Aj's favorite song. I turned my rear view mirror and saw Aj clapping his hands I smiled and focused my attention back to the road. As I was making a turn to the parking lot of Aj's school, Another car crossed to our side of the road and then.. My vision went blurry and I blacked out.
