|| chapter 13 ||

Louis POV
I heard the rapid beeping of my alarm and quickly hit it to shut it up. The time was currently 8:00 am, it was Monday but we got a day off, just something that schools do. I heard my phone buzzing, a message had been delivered, I opened it hoping it to be Clementine, but it was Marlon.

M=Marlon L=Louis
M: Lou, Brody and I planned our date for today, you and Clem ready?
L: Erm, I gotta make sure she's alright with it, I would hate for her to get upset from her social problem (Alright people I have social anxiety irl, it's a disorder that I have had to deal with, so I wanted to make Clem a little similar, I thought it would be a good perk to the story)
M:It's fine, we all understand, just tell us your answer in the next hour or so
L: Will do

I sighed, anxiety filling my entire body, it's just an unfamiliar feeling, Clem always makes me happy, but even if we are dating, it gives me butterflies to ask her on a date. But she does look to cute with her bunny, you can't ignore it, everything about her just fills me with joy.

I went to my contacts and pressed the tip of my finger on her name. I took a deep breath, and tapped the caller Id. It began ringing and she picked up, I heard her mutter a "yes!," and I smiled.

"Whatcha doin Lou" she asked, clearly filled with excitement. "Nothing..." I paused, "You remember the pool party, about the date?" I said stuttering, "yeah" she stuttered as well, "Do you wanna go on the double date tonight?" I stuttered once more. "Of course Lou, but what do I wear?" She asked, oh my smile stretched across my lips, "I'll wear something comfy, I'd just like to be comfortable, if you wanna go fancy I'll get my tux" I said. "No Lou, we can wear comfy stuff, I just wanted to know what you were wearing" she answered. "Why? You wanna check me out?" I teased. She sighed giggling, "Maybe I do, you never know" she replied. "Alright I'll be to get you at seven, Love you Clemmy" I said, "Love you too Lou" she said giggling again.

I lowered he phone from my ear and hit the red button. I stepped into my bathroom and decided to shower, I brushed my teeth and slid on the clothes I picked out. It was regular black sweatpants, and a green hoodie, I sprayed a tiny bit of cologne onto my attire, Clem will probably go crazy over it, I smiled at the thought of her.

I grabbed a little puppy stuffed animal that I have been waiting to give to her, she won't like it as much as her bunny, but it's just a little gift. I put a bow the bridge of the dogs nose, and headed to my car and drove to Clem's house.

Clementine POV
I freshened myself up and grabbed my clothing, I got some grey sweatpants, and an orange hoodie, nothing out of the ordinary. Lee and Aj had gone shopping at the mall, Aj wanted to get the new disco broccoli plush, so Lee insisted on getting it for him.

I grabbed Catcher and raced down the stairs, and watched tv until Louis arrived. He knocked on the door, "come in" I yelled, I was still wrapped in a blanket, cuddling Catcher. "Aww is my little baby tired" he teased, I fake pouted, and he laughed. I scanned his attire, he looked so hot, I kicked the cover off of me and placed Catcher on her back.

I lifted myself up off the couch and leaned in for a kiss, he was surprised by the action but quickly held my jaw and kissed back. We shared a heated kiss for about a minute and then stopped, our faces were both heated, "So you did want me." Louis smirked. "guess I did" I said blushing. "We've got a date to get to" Louis said picking up Catcher and placing me on his shoulders'. We walked out to where his car was parked, he grabbed me from under my shoulders and put me into the car.

20 minutes later

We arrived at a busy ice cream parlor, Marlon and Brody were already waiting, clearly impatient. "Did y'all make out or something" Marlon smirked, I turned to Louis, we were both flustered from his comment. "Taking that as a yes" Brody giggled. "Well I wasn't gonna lie" Louis said pulling me closer to him, Marlon and Brody entered the building, and we followed.

We sat down at a booth, crimson red seats, aligned with dark oak, usually the establishment was busy, it wasn't crowded at all. "Clem" Louis whispered, Louis pulled a stuffed dog out of his bag, a bow attached to its nose, "I noticed you love your bunny, and you look too adorable with it, so I got her a friend" He said smiling.

I blushed while Louis placed the dog in my hand, it was a chocolate lab, he had a dark brown patch over his right eye. "Thanks Lou, I love it" I said hugging him, "But not as much as you love me, right?" He said in a disappointing tone, "Of course not silly, nobody can ever replace you" I said letting go of the hug. He smiled, "Well at least you like him" he chuckled.

The waitress came to take our orders, she looked at me funny, glancing at the stuffed toys, then at me, Louis noticed and pulled me closer to him. She rolled her eyes, "What would it be for today?" She said in an annoyed tone, Marlon and Brody ordered a simple vanilla cone, "I don't want anything" I said in a gloomy tone. Everyone looked at me and I pulled Catcher and the dog Louis brung me closer to him. Louis noticed, "I'll have two chocolate cones" he said raising two fingers, he pulled my head closer to his shoulder and rubbed my back.

"What do you wanna name your puppy?" Louis asked, "I was thinking Coco" I smiled at him, "Coco it is then" Louis said patting Coco's head. The waiter came back with everyone's orders, I just played with the stuffed animals until Louis gave me one of the cones. I looked at him concerned, "You were upset by the waiter, nobody disrespects my baby like that" he said placing a kiss on my cheek.

I ate the cone, there were a couple of jokes shared, until we were all done. Marlon and Brody started kissing and I just gripped Louis's hand, they finally stopped after a minute. I just smirked at them, they both started blushing, "Sorry about that" Marlon and Brody said in unison. Louis and I giggled, we said our goodbyes and got into his car.

Yeeeeet I got a chapter finished, school sucks, never having time to write because of all the work they make us do. I love writing but never have enough time, I'm hoping I can start writing back on schedule. Anywho I hope you enjoyed~Emma🧸💞
