Last night's events had shaken them up, forbidding they slept at all. They were reunited in the main room, attempting to gather enough energy to discuss their situation. The soft blue light from the sky shone through the windows of the room, striking Dan in the eye. She raised her hand as cover for the third time, though it wouldn't last for long.

Klaus' fidgeting form annoyed her other eye. Something was bothering him. She wanted to know what it was, how she could help him but she was too tired to even part her lips and utter words.

Diego's voice pulled them from limbo. They all sat up straight, rubbing their eyes. The man walked to the center, getting everyone's attention. "The bastard that nearly killed our sister's still out there. With Vanya. We need to go after her."

Five, the only one somehow energetic, stepped closer to the group. "Vanya is not important," he coldly said. His selfish self was back and this time he even pushed his family away. It was an understanding that he only cared about one thing, the one that most mattered: saving the world. Dan saw his point and nodded.

"Hey, that's your sister. A little heartless even for you, Five," Diego confronted the boy.

Five huffed and explained his words. "I'm not saying I don't care about her, but if the apocalypse happens today, she dies along with the other seven billion of us! Harold Jenkins is our priority."

Dan jumped to her feet. Diego looked at her expectantly. She held his gaze for a few seconds before sighing and glancing at the floor. "Five's right. Besides, you said it yourself, Diego: Vanya's probably with him. We find him, we find her."

Diego hesitated but agreed with a short nod ( don't anyone catch him going along with Five's plan ). They walked in direction of the door, determined to end the plane's threat. Klaus did not follow as they expected. They swiveled to glare at him.

"You guys count me out." Klaus sighed dreamily as he waved them off. Dan folded her arms across her chest, pushing for him to change his mind. "I mean, you know, no offense or whatever. It's just I kind of feel like this is a whole lot of pressure for newly-sober me, so─"

Diego huffed. He hadn't slept enough to take anyone's shit. "Klaus. Come on."

"No, no, no. I mean, I think we can all agree that my power's. . . I mean, it's pretty much useless. I'd just be holding you guys back."

"Klaus, get up," Five ordered his older-looking brother.

Klaus frowned, giving the boy a daring stare. "You can't make me." A knife landed between his thighs, centimeters away from his crotch. Klaus yelped in shock, jumping back. Diego huffed out a chuckle, proud of his work. "Then again, a little exercise couldn't hurt." Klaus sighed as he got up, sadly looking down at the floor.

Dan tailed him, pondering if she should attempt another friendly approach, ask what was bothering him. But she feared hearing last night's words all over; that she didn't care about him. That was a lie. There weren't many people on Earth she did not care about. Someone would have to piss her off badly to be on her black list ( Reginald Hargreeves, for example ). She decided to hold her concerns for a little longer, biting down on her tongue.
