ABEL POV
APRIL 18TH

I was trying to sleep when I heard her phone ring for the hundredth time. Who the hell would be calling her at 8:30 in the morning. It is pissing me off so I shook Alexis so she could wake up.

What she said while looking at me.

Get that fucking phone it keeps going off I said still pissed.

Alright damn you act like you couldn't get it she said quietly but I still heard her.

What the fuck you say I said to her.

You heard me she said mean mugging me. I didn't mean to act like that but without sleep I'm grouchy. I watched her as she called the number back.

Hello, someone called my phone she said. I couldn't hear the other end but she seems confused.

Yes, this is Alexis Johnson she said with a confused look.

What, no no you're lying she said with a hand over her mouth. I guess after the other person on the phone stopped talking she dropped her phone and started crying really hard.

Alexis what is it I said. She didn't respond so I picked up the phone and started talking.

Hello I said.

Hello sir where did Alexis go we are not done talking to her.

I'm her boyfriend she is in shock right now she can't talk what's going on.

Her mother is in St. Mary's Hospital she was found in her house passed out. She is stable but not in a very good state she might not make it he said with sorrow in his voice.

What's wrong with her I said.

We can't tell you over the phone he said.

Ok we will be there tomorrow thanks for calling I said

You're welcome sir have a nice day he said before hanging up. I turned my attention back to Alexis she is now crying her eyes out. I grabbed her and pulled her close to me I could feel her tears leak through my shirt but I don't care she needs to be held.

ALEXIS POV

I just found out my mom's is in the hospital and she might not make it. She is the only parent I have left I can't lose the only one I have. I can't stop crying it hurts so much I need to go see her.

Do you want me to book our flight baby Abel said in my ear.

I want to go by myself I said looking up in his eyes.

Alright baby he said. I knew he wanted to come and support me but I have to go by myself.

I will book you a flight for as soon as possible he said still holding me close.

Thank you I said trying to stop myself from crying.

5 HOURS LATER.

Abel got me a flight and it leaves in a hour. I am in the shower washing away all my dry tears. I'm so sad and he knows it he tries so hard to make me feel better but I can't until I know my mom is ok. After my shower I got dressed in some dark blue jeans a white shirt and a black jacket since it's spring time. I packed my clothes earlier so I'm ready to go.

Alexis are you hungry Abel asked sweetly.

No I'm ok I said with no emotions.

You haven't ate all day he said.

I'm fine I snapped back at him.

Ok I just dont want you to starve yourself.

Ok Abel I said dryly.

You're flight is leaving in 45 minutes you should leave he said.

Ok I said. I got up and hugged and kissed my kids. I went over to Abel and gave him a hug and a kiss to.

I love you Alexis he said.

I love you too Abel. He kissed me one more time and after that I started walking over to the door.

Mommy no go Adrien said running over to me. I picked him up and gave him another hug it took everything in me not to cry in front of him.

I have to go baby I will be back as soon as I can. Mommy loves you I said before kissing his cheek again.

Adrien love mommy he said in his little baby voice before running back to Abel. I left and started going to the airport.

30 MINUTES LATER

I am on the plane and we are almost about to take off. I put my head phones in and laid my head on the windows.  I just started crying again everything always has to go bad at some point. Why does that always happen to me. I hope my mom pulls through I need her in my life.
