Floating in outer space, with no helmet, Lance was slowly losing air. He didn't feel panicked, but he did feel alone and scared. He was gasping for breath, but no air would come. He slowly started to go in and out of consciousness. Then, he completely blacked out.

Bam! Lance hits his head on his desk as he woke up. 'It was just a dream.' Lance thought relieved. But his newfound injury didn't save him from a long lecture from his Spanish teacher, Ms. Allura.

He was spared half of the lecture though, because of the passing bell ringing. His friend Hunk caught up to him, him coming from Mr. Coran's physics class.

"Hey dude, you look completely out of it! What happened?" Hunk asked, always worrying for Lance.

"Uhh, you know, just one of Ms. Allura's lectures as always. But um anyways, isn't Pidge reading a book about dreams right now in English?" Lance replied.

"Yeah," Hunk answered, "But if you don't mind me asking, why?"

"It's nothing. I just had a weird dream and I want to know what it means." Lance said sheepishly.

"Well you can ask her right now because here she comes." Hunk says directing Lance's eyesight towards a small figure headed their way.

"Hey guys, what's up." The small figure, also known as Pidge, asked smiling.

"Nothing. But Lancey boy here needs to ask you a question." Hunk says, elbowing Lance in the process.

"Ow! And yeah,"

"Your not asking me out are you?" Pidge says interrupting. "It's fine Pidge, you knew this would happen eventually." She whispers to more to herself than anybody and then takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry Lance, but I just don't like you back like that. I hope we can still stay friends."

Hunk and Lance had confused looks on their faces the whole time, but then both their eyes widened.

"Oh no. No! Ew. Gross. No offense Pidge but you are not my type. I was just going to ask you about a dream I had,"

"I was floating in space and suffocating, and eventually I blacked out. Does it mean anything serious?"

"Hmmm. Hard to say. It's very specific, but I'll look through my book. See if I can find anything. I'll ft you if I do, later tonight. Ok?" Pidge says.

"Thanks Pidge. It means a lot." Lance said as
he crushed Pidge with a hug.

Later that night? Morning?
......................................................................................

'Ringgggg' 'Ringggg' 'Ringggg' 'Ringggggg' 'Ringggg'

"Ugh, who calls someone at 3 in the morning?" Lance asks to no one in particular as he rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes.

"Hello?" Lance yawns out.

"Hi, it's Pidge. I found out what you're dream meant, or partially. Here turn your camera on."

He does what Pidge says, and now he can make out a figure on his screen, assuming that it's Pidge, he starts throwing out questions.

"What does it mean? Is it bad? Is it good? Should I be worried?"

"Slow your roll dude. I'm gonna tell you. Gimme a minute." Pidge rolls her eyes and starts to skim her book again. Finding the page she was on, she starts talking,

"So floating in your dreams means happiness, independence, success, and more. So that's good."

Lance nods agreeing.

"But then catch this, suffocating in your dreams means that the enemy is going to do something, necessarily bad to you, and that you will struggle. It also could mean that you're overwhelmed, emotionally, and that you feel trapped in some way, shape, or form."

Lance worries about that part. He didn't make anyone mad this week, did he?

"So my final guess is, you're successful and independent, yes, but you're struggling with keeping up with being successful and you don't know what to do with you're newfound independence, and overall you're so overwhelmed with everything, you're body is trying to warn you. Trying to warn you so that you don't start failing and falling apart and ignoring everything, like eating and functioning. I don't know what the enemy part is all about. But I'm just going off a limb here, do what you want with this information. I'm hungry. Bye."

Lance stares at his screen in disbelief. He prays to every god he can think of that Pidge is wrong and that his dream was just a stupid dream. But his gut is telling him otherwise.

"I love going to bed with uncertainty and a gut wrenching feeling. How am I supposed to sleep with that information swarming my thoughts?" Lance said to himself right before falling asleep.

He woke up feeling awful. He slammed his hand to shut his alarm clock off, knocking it off his nightstand in the process. All he wanted to do was sleep his life away. Hiding so that his enemy couldn't do anything to him. Oddly, he didn't feel overwhelmed, but he didn't want to take any chances.

His roommate, Keith, wasn't having any of his bull today though, because he pulled the covers off of Lance, threw some clothes at him, yelled at him to get up, and then left.

"I should probably thank him later." Lance said with a smile.

He then left the room, locking the door before he left, and walked to school already feeling better about the whole situation. But when he got there he felt queasy, and wanted to turn around and never look back. But he just couldn't afford to skip school, so he continued on his way, slowly this time.

When he finally made it to class, he found the classroom almost empty except for one other person. Lance didn't notice him though. 'Probably new.' He guessed.

This just doesn't feel right. He's must be early. But he's never early. He was about to leave, to get some food before class started, but the new kid called him over.

"Hi! I'm new here. What's your name?" The new kid asked almost immediately as Lance sat down.

"The names Lance. How about you?"

"I'm Lotor. It's nice to meet you. I've been lonely all week." Lotor said as he extended a hand out.

Lance shook it, but he still had some questions.

"You said all a week, yes? I haven't seen you around before though." He said, feeling dumb.

"Ahh yes," Lotor laughed "I was in the right wing for the first few days, but they transferred me here to the left. Too many people rooming there, and I was trying to switch careers anyways because they had messed mine up. It was convenient I guess."

But you know what else is convenient? More of a coincidence, but Lotor shows up, at this school, in his class, around the same time Lance has this dream. So, either this dude is his savior, or his enemy.

He's gonna trial Lotor though, to see which Lotor would be. The whole week, Lotor will be his only focus.
