A man wearing a black shirt and blue jeans pants stopped in front of an apartment building. That building was almost the same height as other buildings around and it was painted in light yellow. Another man stopped next to him.

"She lived here?" asked the new man. He had no hair but greyish thick beard that was trimmed neatly.

"Yup."

"Is she still there?"

"Yeah, it seems she doesn't realize it, not yet. Should I tell her?"

The man with beard thought for a while before shaking his head. "She knows it by now or at least she can guess. Our job is done by the time we gave them the message."

"I know, but still.... It feels bad to know that they don't know that they no longer live."

"Tough job we have here. But someone will come here soon and take care of the rests. You shouldn't even track the next steps. By the way, I got a reminder that she wrote about this in her notebook. We must not let it be read by others."

"It was taken care of." No one would notice a missing notebook from the accident scene.

"Good job. Let's go then." He patted his chest with the back of his left hand and walked to the right direction.

The black-shirt man sighed and followed his friend. He remembered her, the woman who asked a lot of questions to him, questions that he could never answer. He always remembered every person that was in his list and he hated his good memory for this. He looked back and stopped for a while. He could hear the tears from the people who were left by her and he definitely could feel their pain. He felt it before. At the same time, he was happy knowing that she made her last seven days more meaningful, not everyone could do that. Some even wasted their last days by doing stupid things as drinking and using drugs because the thought of facing their own death was unbearable.

He looked away and continued walking. There was still one more person to visit before the day was over. He never understood why he took this job, but he had very limited choice and he had to live with this decision.

And the night continued to fall in Metropolitan city.
