"LENA! Get back into the house this instant young lady!" Shouted a man with a fit stature. He was standing by the door way to a normal, homely house yelling at his daughter to get inside considering the time it was.

"..." Silence was Lena's answer as she stormed off in the dark streets. Running with no destination, she arrived by a dreary, dark alleyway, crouching down to hug her knees crying.

All Lena wanted to do was to enter the university of her dreams and to pursue a career in dancing - what she loved. She was about to enter university the following year.

She had come home ready to study her butt off to enter the most prestigious university known for their art courses. Her teacher had given her a university choice sheet to fill in.

She has her heart set on that one university... but when she mentioned her future career, her parents - mostly her father - denied it without hesitation. They had wanted her to pursue something in the medical field.

Typical Asian parents you could call it.

Suddenly, a shadow covers her making her turn her head up. It was a man and he spoke.

"Hey... are you ok?" He said gently, leaning down and putting a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down from crying.

"Yeah... I'm fine..." Lena replied.

"Really? Because you don't look alright" He said.

...

Lena stayed silent.

"I'm Chan. You?"

"...Lena..."

"That's a pretty name" Chan said with a gentle smile on his face.

In that moment, Lena knew something was wrong with her heart.

Thump.

'That was not normal...' she thought.

"Lena!" A voice shouted from a distance as he ran to towards the girl.

The called girl turned her head towards the all too familiar voice that she loved so much with a wide smile plastered across her face.

"Channie!" She called back. She ran up to tackle him in a hug.

"Sorry, did you wait long?" Chan asked, hugging her back.

"No. I just got here myself" Lena lied just a bit. She had been waiting for almost 20 minutes but she didn't want her boyfriend to blame himself.

The two first met by an alleyway after Lena had a fight with her father on her career path. Chan had helped her cheer up from crying her eyes out and the two started dating a just two days ago. They had hit it off well and were really compatible with each other.

Lena has found out that Chan was her underclassman from middle school who had a huge crush on her but was too coward to confess before she graduated first.

He couldn't sleep that fateful night and happened to stumble across her crouched down crying while out for a walk.

Chan stood, staring lovingly at Lena's eyes as she tilted her head to the side in confusion.
