Jasmine came out of the bathroom, tears dripping down her cheeks. "Anthony?" She sobbed, going into their bedroom.

Anthony looked up from his phone quickly. "Jasmine? What's wrong?"

"I..." She sniffled. Her hands were behind her back and it looked like she was holding something. "I have to tell you something."

Anthony stood up and walked over to her, panicking. "What is it?"

Jasmine slowly pulled her hands from behind her back and showed him what was in her hands. It was a pregnancy test- and not just that, but a positive pregnancy test.

"Oh my God...we...we're pregnant!?"

"Yes...I'm so sorry." Jasmine cried, clutching the pregnancy stick.

"Why are you sorry?" Anthony asked, wrapping his arms around her. "This is amazing...I'm gonna be a daddy!"

"Yeah...you are...but..." Jasmine looked down.

He paused. "What's wrong? I am the father, aren't I?"

"...yeah, of course you are, silly...it's just...are we ready for a baby? We've only been dating for a couple of months..."

"I know....but...I love you, Jasmine..." he paused. "You...you can abort it...if you really, really want to- I mean, you're the pregnant one...but...it just seems...wrong...to abort a baby..." He looked down.

Jasmine looked up at him, heart beating in her ears. "I never said I was going to abort it, babe." She took his hands. "I want to have this child, Anthony...your child..."

"Our child," He corrected softly, squeezing her hands. "And...I'm glad you don't want to abort it...I'm so proud of you, princess."

"Thank you..." Jasmine smiled up at him. "So...how do we tell the others?"

"Thanks for coming to meet us here," Anthony said, squeezing Jasmine's hand. They were now sat in Starbucks. Lin, Daveed, Oak, Renee, Pippa, Leslie and Johnathan had agreed to meet them in the coffee shop closest to their apartment, and it happened to be a Starbucks.

"So what's the news?" Lin asked curiously, sipping his black coffee.

"Are you getting married?!" Pippa asked with a grin.

"No." Anthony laughed. "Buuut...you honestly aren't far off." He looked at Jasmine and smiled. Jasmine smiled back. They then turned back to the group and said in unison; "We're pregnant!"

There were screams of laughter and excitement from everyone.

"I CALL DIBS ON THROWING THE BABY SHOWER!" Johnathan squealed, making everyone laugh harder.

"Congratulations, sweetie!" Renee threw her arms around Jasmine. Everyone crowded around Anthony and Jasmine, chatting excitedly- everyone except Daveed, who stood in the background with a solemn face.

"I'll...be right back," He said, but no one heard him anyway. He walked out the coffee shop and into the open air. He leaned against the wall and sighed, looking at the ground.

'So they're having a baby...I guess they're really locked into love now...' He thought sadly. 'I saw the way Anthony was looking at her...smiling at her...she's so incredible...I can't believe she's pregnant, though...I guess I really have no chance with Jasmine now.' He ran a hand through his afro.
