The Sea tosses so restless like it can't sleep. Well, it would be hard to sleep when you are the spawn of millions of icy blue tears. It cries itself, the sea, as many are banished to live in its waters, dead.

Except the merpeople, they're different and unspoken of. But, they will soon speak and they will believe. And regret ever sending people to them in their home.

The Captain's orders for the ship to set sail with a small group of soldiers, and the magical,  were obeyed in seconds and was set into action in merely minutes.

On the rough seas, the boat had set sail with its group of terrified soldier, its now determined Captain and a suspiciously calm magical.

The Captain stood still, well tried to as the ship rocked, while his men paced and shared and the occasional one ran to the edge to vomit. The green sickly shade rose to his cheeks but he swallowed it back.

Hands behind his back, he walked towards the magical who they had tied to the ships thick centre mast with equally thick ropes.

The magicals wrist were a harsh pink from the cuffs they had on from the cell previously and now the ropes weren't helping their bare arms stay their originally pale shade stay pale.

"Don't think about trying using your magic you... Magical," The Captain was stern, puffing out his chest in hopes of showing his dominance over the magical. The magical wasn't intimidated, not one bit.

They slowly rose their head, their cold green eyes meeting the Captains empty blue ones, "Don't worry Cap, I pinky promised no magic," the magical giggled, putting on a cocky smirk afterwards.

The Captain raised his hand in anger, instantly clenching his fist only to lower it with a huff, "Men! We do it now!" he bellowed, "And you magical, I don't think you'll be holding that cocky grin any longer,"

"Try me," the magical tried to lean their face closer, "Either I die with this smirk or I die with my middle fingers up. Only right after how my own people treated me," the magical cocked their head, leaning back into the mast.

"That's it!" he lost his temper, "Untie her fool!" he ordered the soldier closest to the magical.

The magical easily submitted, putting the Captain on edge, as they were carefully untied and the cuffs were properly put on their wrists, causing them to sting again and them to wince.

Captain, enraged, dragged the magical from the cuffs causing them to hiss. He ignored their reaction easily only gripping tighter as he practically dragged the magical to the plank which was pushed out.

"You didn't tell me we were laying pirates," the magical tried to giggle but only gave a pained laugh.

Captain scoffed, pushing them roughly onto the plank, "This isn't a game anymore,".

The waves crashed violently against the boat as if to break it apart. Thunder vegan to rumble in the distance and as a wind grew, bright lightening began to strike causing soldiers to squeal and the magical to jump.

The magical gulped, trying to stay confident and hide their fear behind it but, their legs gave it away as they shook more violently than the sails in the vile wind. The rain came streaming down, adding to the soldiers fear.

"Go on!" he was impatient and wet. The sooner it was done, the sooner he could go back and receive his praise that the magical was finally gone.

The magical breathed heavily, carefully stepping forward. Their feet shuffled like a bad dance to the edge of the board. The soldiers in the back looked away, already ashamed at the thought of what will happen.

"I said go on Magical!" The Captain roared.

As if on his cue, lightening struck again causing the magical to jump in their place and begin to lose their balance. Their hands were obviously cuffed so, panic rose quickly in their system as they lost balance.

And fell.

The magical screamed as they took the not so long drop to the roaring blue waves which still shone with small diamonds in the night.

Under the rough surface, the sea is quiet and calm for its inhabitants. It just heats up a bit more from its rage. It's temper can get very heated when needed to but, it tries to stay calm for its merfolk, it's fish because they're not so bad.

One if these merfolk enjoyed swimming high up on these rough nights out thrill and excitement. On other nights he just enjoyed seeing the silhouette of the pearly moon which hung so far up in the night sky.

The sea felt different for him tonight.

Of course he knew the waves crashed above and a ship was sailing but, there was something that didn't sit right for him. Like a gut feeling, something was going to happen, he knew. Fishes swam around in his stomach, he felt nervous of whatever may come.

"Cmon scaredy fish, what's up?" he talked to himself, slapping his cheek, huffing out, some small bubbles floating away.

He shook in his place when he saw the flashing lights from above and heard a low growl from the sky. The thunder and lightning. Even though he didn't live on land, they always scared him as if it would chase him into his wet home.

Splash.

A thick sound caused the merman to look up instantly upon hearing something, or someone, fall into the water towards him.

"The hell," he breathed out shocked as a bundle fell.

Upon realizing what it could be, he swiftly swam towards it. His quick guess was right.

A human.

Well at first glance. Her wrists were cuffed together meaning she couldn't swim so easily, he could see that gently rubbing the pink pigment to skin. He thought her legs were wrapped together with fishnets (but they were just her outfit) and sighed again.

Her brown hair was tied back and as it swirled in the water, became messy and knotted. Pushing aside some of her hair, he saw her eyes closed, unconscious he thought.

Running a hand through his hair, he brought her closer to his arms and into his chest, on land it would be bridal style.

He was never the fastest swimmer in the land but, for her, he felt something course through his veins, fueling his speed to go faster than ever.

Determination that's what it was.

Where he needed to go, to get help for her wasn't so far with his new determined speed. In the blink of an eye, surely he could save her, find who she was, etc. He only hoped that fate would follow his mental script.

A/N:
This merman sounds nice. He must be so mesmerized by humans, imagine how he'll be with a magical. But will we know both their names soon? What will their meeting mean?
